Just wrapped up DevDay Exchange in Tokyo and led a Q&A panel with @barnali_c & @saitonian A lot of developers came up after and asked questions and shared what they’re building in Japan. Some insights / great feedback: - People are excited about plugin suggestions! On ranking, our team can consider plugins that are popular during specific seasons (e.g. tax filing plugin) cc: @vibhor_chhabra @mxstbr - enterprises have strict policies and permissive use of plugins that limit use of them at work. But I shared devs can build private plugins for just your team or workspace! That excited devs. We’ll work to make this more obvious for builders - People love dots! Devs wanted more insight into what reasoning levels were being used on different tasks. something to consider: @TheRohanVarma - chatgpt spaces had a lot of positive sentiment - devs were curious if we could open extension points on that surface cc: @tarstarr - @wonforall and I shared that a good best practice for improved recognition on pdfs/images is to do a quick pre clean before sending it to our image models for best accuracy. over time we will work to make these better

Baron put $5B of his own money in. xAI shipped a Wikipedia alternative with 6 million articles overnight. Musk said Tesla's chip will be 2-3x Nvidia at 10% cost. And gave AGI a 3-year deadline. Baker said one or two of the Mag 7 would go extinct. Nobody told him it would happen this fast.

REMY OR LINGUINI? for those of you who have seen ratatouille, one of the great questions in the ai age: are we remy or linguini? are the humans in control of the combined entity (we are remy), or are the ai in control and we are simply the meat proxies (we are linguini)? our vision with muse is undeniably the former—we are remy! we have big dreams and goals, many of which may not be appropriate for our station or our exact starting condition. but that doesn't matter—we dream like a rat who wants to be a michelin-starred chef in paris. muse is our partner to help make that happen. ultimately, we are pulling the hairs (?), and it is our vision that ends up on the plate (?), but over time we will accomplish things that we could not do without muse. (obviously this metaphor is super confusing because i'm saying the humans are the rat, but if you watched the movie you catch my drift) anyway this whole mini-essay was just to justify my shitpost—pls enjoy
