I’m rooting for @AngieNixon! I like her and what her candidacy says about the potential for disruption in the Democratic Party.
5 DAYS, y’all. ⏳ We have the opportunity to make history and turn this Senate seat back over to the people. That means a U.S. senator who believes in stronger regulations on AI so that jobs stay with workers. Getting rid of surveillance cameras like Flock and going after the folks polluting our beautiful state illegally. Change can’t wait. Early voting ends this weekend: AngieNixon.com/vote. Get out and vote for me! #AngieForFlorida

I honestly hope this is a troll tweet … Jay-Z is a prime example of how capitalism and access for a few doesn’t trickle down into the community. Especially, the black community. JayZ is a gatekeeper and continuously works to convince the “culture” that his entertainment deals and moves somehow benefit Black community in a fundamental way when in fact it’s the opposite. He literally sells the culture for his own benefit. His patterns align with capitalistic ideas and rarely has he been on the side of progressivism or social issues that uplift the Black community. The Barclays deal where he claimed to be a large stakeholder to convince the black community to support the deal. Fact is he was 0.67% stakeholder which only benefited his businesses not the community. He hijacked the Kaepernick NFL boycott. He’s listed in the Epstein files. The CEO of Roc Nation was pardoned by Trump while He’s been noted to be connected to Jared Kushner. He’s not moving Black culture forward, in fact, he’s upholding status quo which oppresses our community.

Your work w/Heritage conflates fatherlessness w/out-of-wedlock births which are 2 different things. Separate them and show while marriage needs improvement, black fathers are WILLING/ACTIVE participants in the lives of their children. But that gives black men too much dignity🤷🏿‍♂️
I wasn’t going to bring up marriage and family, but @angela_rye opened the door so I had to be honest about both why—and where—I do my work. This interaction is why it is so important to have conversations that cross political and ideological lines.

🚨 CONGRESS IS NOW DISCUSSING WHAT HAPPENS IF MAJOR AI COMPANIES GO BANKRUPT. House Democrats have introduced a resolution calling for AI companies to receive ZERO taxpayer funded bailouts if they collapse. AI spending by Amazon, Microsoft, Alphabet, Oracle, Meta and SpaceX is expected to top $7 trillion from 2025 to 2030, per S&P. Big Tech is expected to borrow a record $420 billion in 2027 alone. Now, lawmakers are discussing what should happen if those massive investments go wrong. The resolution calls for: • No taxpayer funded bailouts for failing AI companies. • No emergency loans, cash injections or debt guarantees from the Fed, Treasury or FDIC. • Failed AI companies to go through normal bankruptcy proceedings. • Executives responsible for reckless or illegal conduct to face accountability. • Government support to protect workers and retirement savings instead of corporate executives. The resolution is not legally binding, and it does not mean lawmakers know an AI crash is coming. But it shows the risk is now being taken seriously in Congress. And there is a reason to pay attention. AI companies are spending enormous amounts of money today based on expectations of future demand and profits. If those expectations fail, the damage could spread beyond AI companies to banks, lenders and investors financing the expansion.

She got to stop thinking everyone needs to be heard. Question becomes is justice more important to you or creating content? As @BreakingBrown say all the time “we rise together or fall together. #ADOS

He's so smart he's stupid. Instead of taking this opportunity that people like me will never get; he takes it and makes a fool of himself. Sabby didn't vet him enough. Had she did, she would've saw that he wasn't the right individual to have on her Podcast to talk about this.

The governor of New York openly says she fought for Tisch to keep her job because she's a "Jewish woman" from a "successful family," but Black people are the ones accused of being DEI hires who are undeserving of our jobs.
Gov. Kathy Hochul said it was “important” Jessica Tisch remained NYPD commissioner, even discussing it with Mamdani before she endorsed him. “She knows her role is important,” Hochul told our @jmart. “He knows her role is important.” 🔗 politi.co/4ij6szh

He was specific when mentioning “there are black immigrants” BUT didn’t provide the same specificity when discussing who is overwhelmingly affected by the decline in black wealth. We all know it’s ADOS. Unserious all around.

These folks are just terrible people and are coddled by these soft spaces. He literally states he believes black men without college degrees are harmed but immigration benefits America broadly. 1. America broadly is white 2. They are always willing to sacrifice BLACK FOLKS.

We must figure out a way to benefit alone from our sacrifices and struggles. This current set up of them getting a free ride must end.

That's quite a difference from Joy Reid's first day at Harvard. After we serve as barrier-breaking battering rams, melanated immigrants magically appear, trample over our remains while waltzing into the promised land, and reap the benefits of our sacrifice and struggle.
