Mère de six enfants et pilote d’hélicoptère ayant notamment servi en Afghanistan, elle avait consacré presque toute sa vie adulte au service militaire. Elle avait également créé Valor Run, un événement de 160 miles destiné à honorer 160 militaires américaines mortes pendant les guerres en Irak et en Afghanistan.
Loin de renoncer au service public, Nancy a choisi de se lancer en politique. Elle s’est présentée sous l’étiquette démocrate dans le 1er district de Caroline du Sud, un territoire traditionnellement favorable aux républicains. Sa campagne a notamment mis l’accent sur le coût de la vie, le logement, la santé, la garde d’enfants et les préoccupations des anciens combattants. Après avoir consacré 35 ans à l’armée, elle entame ainsi un nouveau chapitre de sa vie publique.

Republicans called Obama a socialist every single day for 8 years. It didn’t stop him.
Now they’re trying the same tired red-baiting on anyone who wants a New Deal instead of the raw deal working people have been force-fed for decades.
People are hungry for something real. Not more corporate welfare dressed up as “moderation.” Not more “public-private partnerships” that somehow always privatize the profits and socialize the losses.
Mamdani is right. The socialist smear is a dead tactic.
The only question left is whether the Democratic Party has the spine to actually deliver for the people who keep electing them… or if they’ll keep protecting the same donors who’ve been extracting wealth from this country for 40 years.

A Pakistani Army officer warmly approached a family travelling from Karachi on a motorcycle. During their brief encounter, the family's young child shyly expressed a longing for an apple.
Moved by the innocence of the request, the officer gently picked an apple himself and offered it to the child with genuine affection. 😍🇵🇰

1992-1995 Bosna Savaşı sırasında Birleşmiş Milletler herkese silah ambargosu uyguladı. Ancak bu ambargo yalnızca Sırpların işine yaradı. Çünkü Sırplar, eski Yugoslavya’nın devasa ordusunun silahlarını miras almıştı. Boşnaklar ise neredeyse tamamen silahsızdı.
Peki Cavid Nasır ne yaptı?
Suudi finansmanıyla gizli bir operasyon başlattı. Pakistan istihbaratı ISI, Türkiye ve İran üzerinden Pakistan’dan Saraybosna’ya uzanan gizli bir hava köprüsü kurdu.
Bu sevkiyatlarda, Sırp kuşatmasını kırmak amacıyla TOW tanksavar füzeleri taşındığı ileri sürüldü.
Hatta Pakistan, 1995 yılında Cenevre'de silah ambargosunu "hukuka aykırı" ilan ederek, bütün baskılara rağmen Boşnakları destekleyeceğini açıkladı.
NASIL ORTAYA ÇIKTI?
İddialara göre General Cavid Nasır, bizzat kendisi itirafta bulundu!
2002 yılında bir İngiliz mahkemesine sunduğu resmî savunma belgesinde şöyle yazdı:
"Silah ambargosuna rağmen, savaşın Boşnak Müslümanların lehine dönmesini sağlayan ve Sırpları kuşatmayı kaldırmaya zorlayan füzelerin sevkiyatını başarıyla gerçekleştirdim. Bu durum Amerika'yı rahatsız etti."
Bu açıklamaların ardından Lahey Mahkemesi 2011 yılında Pakistan'dan Nasır'ın teslim edilmesini istedi. Pakistan ise bu talebi reddetti.
General Cavid Nasır, 2024 yılında 87 yaşında hayatını kaybetti.
Boşnaklar onu bugün hâlâ bir kahraman olarak hatırlıyor.

ICE grabs U.S. citizen from behind—slams her down on the pavement.

Agents were on county property—in direct violation of cease & desist order.
Order demanded ICE stop using county property—including the jail—as a staging area for civil immigration enforcement.
Community members arrived on the scene to protest after agents refused to comply with the order.
One ICE agent at the site said he was: "Waiting to hear back from their chain of command."
Incident occurred outside the Monterey County Jail in Salinas, California.
