🧵I disagree, brother.
A victory for the opposition and Netanyahu’s loss of power, irrespective of who comes to power, would be a great victory for Islam and Muslims. It would be even greater than the liberation of Ma’rib.
The reason lies in the United States, not Israel…/1

New: An NYPD spokesperson confirms the police department no longer plans to enter into a no-bid contract with a controversial Israeli surveillance tech company — a reversal that comes after the procurement drew pushback from Mayor Mamdani's allies and civil rights advocates.

The elections in ‘Israel’ are continuing in a rather strange manner. Everyone has gone to the polls out of fear of one another.
In any case, the important point is that they are all cut from the same cloth.
From Tehran’s perspective, the next PM individual is of little importance. What matters is that the criminal regime must understand that painful blows await it for the crimes it has committed.

this was a good 2 months after you joined the org, Rep. @AngieNixon, so does this mean you denounce this statement?

I say it plainly: I do not celebrate Castro. I call Cuba what it is, an authoritarian regime, and I will fight for the Cuban families who fled it.
Meanwhile, Ashley Moody backs deporting Cuban families back to the regime they escaped.

Wow. While my own government detained, threatened, interrogated me on arrival from Brazil, Marco Rubio opens the doors to foreign fugitives like Flávio Bolsonaro fleeing large-scale corruption charges back at home.

This story is not getting enough attention, even though it is a dark portent of the political repression on the horizon all around the NATO bloc.
Five activists who damaged an Elbit Systems site in Ulm, Germany, are facing harsher treatment than the Reichsbürger, a far-right group accused of attempting to overthrow the German state by force. The two trials are being held in the same building.
The Ulm5 are held in a maximum-security prison, marched into the courtroom in handcuffs, and seated behind bulletproof glass two meters tall. On day one, the judge switched off the microphones of the defence’s legal team, and has since repeatedly refused to hear their evidence and expert witnesses, while rejecting a motion for an independent stenographer to keep a record of the proceedings. The only written record of the trial is the judge's.
Meanwhile, the Ulm5 all remain in prolonged detention — with stints in solitary confinement. The prosecution is seeking to argue that the attack was antisemitic in nature, as Elbit Systems is a “Jewish-owned company” and therefore the “baby killers” graffiti drawn by the activists amounts to blood libel.
The case sets a chilling precedent for any actions taken against German militarism, and no doubt forms part of a wider arc of repression that now extends from Britain to Italy. That is why the activists’ call for international solidarity and support is so urgent.
In a show-trial riddled with procedural irregularities, Germany is seeking to make an example of five activists who organized against the genocide in Gaza. buff.ly/i46zuHe

The U.S. helped a Brazilian criminal escape justice.
As I reported hours ago, Flávio Bolsonaro has arrived safely in United States.
The mastermind behind this operation is U.S. Secretary of State @SecRubio .
From the United States, free and safe, Flávio will lead the opposition against Lula.

I, a natural born citizen, can’t make a 45 minute trip to Montreal and back without having my phone confiscated and scanned by Border Patrol while this asshole gets to make a birthright trip to an Orlando Publix without a passport.
Please donate to Mosab and his family they need help and prices in Gaza have skyrocketed!
💔 Sadly, we haven’t received any help for three days, and I can no longer provide for my four children.
👶 $100 for my newborn’s milk and diapers.
💊 $100 for my sick child’s medication.
📚 $200 for my children’s monthly school fees and stationery.
🛒 $150 for my family’s other essential needs.
🙏 Every donation, no matter how small, can make a difference in my children’s lives. Please, don’t leave my children alone. 💔

Feiglin in general tends to confuse foreign journalists. He got a lot of coverage in 2019 as the “libertarian” candidate because he wanted to legalize weed but he also said “every baby in Gaza is an enemy.”

Interestingly both expulsion and unendorsement of Nithya Raman passed at the NPC, but they are conditional meaning she has some short time to come into compliance before they kick in. She could be unendorsed as early as Saturday, but expelled by the beginning of January.
NEW: DSA's National Political Committee passed two resolutions tonight regarding Los Angeles mayoral candidate Nithya Raman, setting up processes to potentially force DSA's Los Angeles chapter to rescind its endorsement of her campaign and/or expel her from DSA.
Here are copies of the 2 resolutions that passed:

Jacobin, Geese, Novara, anyone else interested in my analysis of this epic development in Mamdanistan? It’s titled:
“Why the IDF Should Continue Lacing the NYPD Boot: Lessons From Radical Kibbutzim on How to Overcome the American Under-Policing Crisis”
⚡️ Mayor Zohran Mamdani's NYPD is poised to sign a three-year, $750,500 no-bid contract with Israeli surveillance firm Cognyte for FalcoNet, an AI-driven device that mimics a cell tower to track phones and can be mounted on police cars and drones or hidden in a backpack, the New York Daily News reported.
Cognyte won a tender to sell intercept spyware to Myanmar's state telecom weeks before the 2021 military coup, Reuters previously reported. Meta banned the firm the same year, saying its customers used fake accounts to target journalists and politicians in Kenya, Mexico and Indonesia.
The firm is part of an Israeli surveillance industry that grew big as a result of the military's monitoring of Palestinians, whose phone calls Israel's Unit 8200 has intercepted and stored by the millions, including to carry out genocide in Gaza and enforce a brutal illegal occupation in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
