Patrick Stewart's entire body of work, but as Picard in particular, is something that connects the person I am today with who I was as a kid. It collapses time for me. I still have the same awe and fascination with his performance and belief that it represents the best of us.

If a coworker made/paid to get deepfake porn of me, I'd never forget that shit regardless of if I accepted his apology. I'd never want to be around them again. Y'all are acting insane towards Poki rn when her feelings are incredibly normal/understandable.
maybe im the too woke friend but if he truly understood what he did and felt bad for it.... he would find a different job???? one where none of the women he victimized would have to stumble across him while theyre just trying to do their job
Atrioc responds to Pokimane after she expressed discomfort over him being invited to Ludwig and QT's wedding despite the deepfake situation involving her
"Those feelings are totally valid.. I've never disagreed with that.. I feel terrible, I can't undo it.. I'm trying to use my actions to show that's not who I am."
"I don't know what prompted this now, but it is a valid feeling whenever.. But, I don't appreciate being used as a weapon to attack someone.. I do think those people should be allowed to invite me to something."

It's crazy that this guy was allegedly making deepfake porn of this girl and several of his peers, including the bride at the wedding, and people are somehow confused about why she thinks these people are experiencing cognitive dissonance trying to reconcile with this weirdo. Imagine being in her position: You people claim to be my friends, yet you invite this man to your wedding after what he allegedly did, including sexualizing your own wife without her consent. Meanwhile, I'm the one being socially punished? The guy who allegedly made deepfake porn of the bride gets an invitation, but I'm the problem for not wanting anything to do with him?
Pokimane admits she felt a way seeing Atrioc at Ludwig's wedding around her close friends
"There's been a lot of cognitive dissonance seeing my friends be put in close proximity of him.. It makes me feel some type of way, I can't lie.. Do they agree with me or do they not?"
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Atrioc did not make the deepfakes. He paid for access to view non-consensual deepfake porn of streamers including Pokimane and QTCinderella created by others.

Genuinely this pokimane discourse is making me realize too many people care about the public perception of actions more than the actions itself and to that I say do the right thing because it’s the right thing not because you need to earn the public’s trust you bum

With systemic misogyny directed at women online and in popular culture,@carolinekwan, @kattenbarge, and @kylietcheung unpack how what is often dismissed as 'celebrity gossip' is actually a reflection of broader societal issues that impact all women.
Stream from March.
Replying to @carolinekwan
also, the “perfect victim” myth extends beyond victims of interpersonal abuse. It is applied to all victims of all forms of oppression, and manufactures consent for the harm done to them, blames them for the harm they experience, and mischaracterizes the victim as aggressor. the requirement for victims to behave “perfectly” and “ideally” before, during, and after the abuse they experience is one that must be dismantled
