He's still alive btw but he mainly stays away from the spotlight and doesn't seem to want any financial gain from it. However he did believe that by doing this, it would help with his career, instead he went bankrupt

Leonardo da Vinci created the first ever
"satellite view" map in 1502 of Imola, Italy.
He did this by manually measuring the angles and distance of every corner on every building in the city.

Not everything we observe is meant to be communicated or acted on. You can observe when someone is moving out of integrity without you being the one to correct them back into alignment. In this way you give people space to practice the skill of self correction. One of the most powerful catalysts for change is the consequences of our action or inaction. You getting in the way of someone's consequences is not an act of love, it is you blocking them from their learning, it is you rescinding the opportunity for them to practice self correction. And why do we do this? Perhaps because we fear that if we do not step in, they will not step in for themselves and thus for us and that will leave us disappointed with the reality of who they truly are right now, not the potential we so badly wish for them.
Learn how to observe without needing to control. Learn how to witness someone's journey without seeking to micromanage their outcome for your own end.
Some conservationist were approaching a poacher’s gorilla trap to destroy it when an actual gorilla stopped them and warned them off while two other gorillas came by and took the trap apart.
They would have thought that the humans were going to get caught in it.

I don't care about flying cars when people working 40+ hours a week can barely afford rent and groceries. maybe fix the cost of living before trying to live in the sky.
As if Joan didn't learn persistence from somewhere...
After Joan of Arc was executed for heresy in 1431, her mother spent decades fighting to clear her name. In her late 70s, she petitioned the pope to reopen the case and personally appeared when the retrial began in 1455. A year later, the court declared Joan's original trial unjust and formally annulled her conviction.

People respect you more when they don't see you often. Even parents. Trust me. It's strange how distance rearranges love, how absence restores what closeness erodes. When people are deprived of your presence, they start seeing you clearly again, not through habit but through awareness. Proximity dulls perception. Space sharpens it. That's just how the human mind works.

People who have travelled a lot tend to judge less. Not because they became nicer, but because they ve seen too many versions of what's "normal." In one country, it's normal to eat with your hands. In another, it's normal to stay quiet at the table. In third, it's normal to hug a stranger. When you've seen 30 different versions of "the right way," you stop believing yours is the only one. Travel doesn't just teach geography. It teaches tolerance.
Blame schools tbh
i think learning about money from a young age has made me realize how financially clueless most people are. like you i hear someone say they want to be rich, but they don’t know how compound interest works, how credit works, how investing works, or even where their money goes every month.
and honestly, nobody is going to sit you down and teach you all of this. you have to teach yourself. like just open befreed and learn from the people who already figured it out. nobody’s coming to hand you financial freedom.
