I know that at a certain point it makes me sound naive, but I think we should be clear that a president announcing a ceasefire signed by two warring countries that doesn't actually exist is and should be the sort of thing that gets him swiftly removed from office.

They have fucking group chats where they coordinate their messaging with influencers. And they’re almost certainly using government money to pay the influencers.
It appears @bennyjohnson has now deleted his X post where he clearly pre-composed a post about Sen. Schmitt getting Jack Smith to perjure himself. Genuinely crazy how many big accts on this website appear to be coordinating with Republican politicians behind the scenes.

The federal government did not impose these protections in a vacuum. It imposed them because white political majorities in the South repeatedly used district structures and election systems to prevent Black communities from translating votes into representation.
And for decades, the Voting Rights Act enjoyed overwhelming bipartisan support.
