Everyone: "Vibe coding is causing all these security bugs" Reality: PHP, Node, Linux kernel, GitLab. All hand-written code by humans, some of it 20 years old. AI isn't creating the slop. It's finding it 🫠

The new Zelenskyy interview with @StevenBartlett is one of the best he has ever given. I know it’s a bit long, but if you have time to watch the whole thing, I highly recommend it. Steven gives Zelenskyy the space to share the human cost and real emotions of this war from his own perspective and through his daily contact with the people most affected. I don't think any other host has managed to get him to open up like this. It’s well worth watching, even if you don't follow the war closely. Truly a great interview and a powerful conversation.

Younger Gen X/Elder Millennials remain undefeated on being the right age when new technologies are implemented. The internet, phones, and now AI all hitting when we were old enough to not have our brains rotted by them, but young enough to skillfully adopt.
AI is a big W for 40-somethings. Old enough to have learned how to do things the right way, young enough to learn some new tricks.

junior developers shouldn't be allowed to use AI coding tools for the first 1-3 years of their work. just as an electrician's apprentice does the menial jobs and learns from their mentor, developers should do the same developing "code smell" and intuition is so important

The Nuclear Renaissance has entered into its next phase. Remember, the Renaissance that is its namesake lasted about 300 - 350 years, depending on the source used. Historians often don't agree about the start date because it took 20 – 50 years to achieve momentum.
I understand why policy folks are sleeping on this. We’ve been burned before. But as @RachelSlaybaugh said this weekend, “go ahead, please do call it a ‘nuclear renaissance.’”

A criticality achievement for a brand new reactor is NOT the same as a university experiment. Doing it right means exercising supply chains, QA systems, licensing organizations, manufacturing infrastructure, control systems, operator training programs and a host of other ingredients that enable building a complete reactor that can achieve a self sustaining chain reaction with real fuel in a real configuration. Congratulations, @Aalo for your achievements in joining @AntaresNuclear @valaratomics and @DeployableE. The four of you have proven that America can be an overachiever when it taps its sources of strength. Disc: Nucleation Capital is an investor in @AaloAtomics but we support progress for all advanced nuclear energy ventures.
Replying to @AaloAtomics
Criticality has validated Aalo's supply chain, reactor physics, control systems, and fuel-loading procedures at full scale. Our path forward runs through power operations, manufacturing scale-up, and delivering commercial electricity. Aalo is expanding our factory space by 10x in the near-term to apply assembly-line manufacturing to reactor production. This will open the door to mass-producing the Aalo Pod, our power plant for data centers built from 10 MWe modules, configured from 50 MW up to 200 MW. Additionally, we are sharing for the first time that Aalo-X—our first full-power power plant—has completed site groundwork and will power an on-site data center in 2027. [4/5]

"Pentagon experts, think tanks, virtually every intelligence agency expected Russia to crush Ukraine in days. How did you know better?" @DCrittenden1 replied, "As the one in charge of planning every family event, I can tell when something has not been thought through." END

In 20 years, vibe coders will look at the Linux kernel repo the way we look at the pyramids. In awe, unable to imagine how they managed to drag all those giant stones and pile them up in the middle of the desert.

On and on they go. Unarmed. Reportedly marching on IRGC headquarters in Tehran. This is why Iran will be free: the courage of its people. Don’t look away. Don’t let the regime’s brutality pass unnoticed.
