lmao the intro to ME2 is probably the single biggest fuck up of the entire trilogy IMO NOTHING else wrote BioWare into a million different corners quite like the decisions they made for the first couple hours of ME2 and it irreparably altered the trajectory of the story

loved YOU CAN SEE ANYTHING (2026) but... the film failed to conclusively demonstrate that any of the tech actually works. like... it kinda all hinges on whether or not Theranos is real

Film culture escaping IMDB's boomer/gen x tyranny and being given a new place for younger people to consolidate around has opened up an entire generation to different kinds of movies and if the cost is being forced to see teenagers posting annoying reviews it's a fair tradeoff

people who are too young to remember a world before letterboxd really don't understand. it's been the most significant positive force for cinephilia of the century. for all its faults, it has completely changed film culture for the better

So in those four years he went on dozens of first dates centered around watching the office, either after dinner, at his dorm, on a laptop in the park to make it romantic. Over and over again, he pretended to watch the pilot episode of the office probably 30-40 times
