I will release the sources someday, so anyone can experiment π
My goal was to play my favourites on any PC and mobile (that one is not yet done).

Heh, not sure if SDL3 and OpenGL were on the MegaDrive

If you can make it only raw decoding library that would be great. RAW processing including demosaic and color management not so trivial topic. Some steps should be done before demosaic, some after. Single step color management is another trap. π

Yes! Some lighting effects are not possible to visualize without spectral rendering.

I drafted a new fast one-way cryptographic hash function for avx-512 at github.com/jyrkialakuijala/pβ¦
It runs 20+ GB/s, single-threaded.
I was inspired by the FFTs butterfly structure in its design.

Troy might be hard to understand π
I remeber that was interesting GDC videos from devs of Ghost of Tsushima regarding their decision on tonemapping. But you right, in games you are more flexible comparing to a strict colour science or vfx.

LLM (Sol/Astra) but not a single prompt.
Plan and design a reverse-engineering pipeline by learning on every game reversed. With a full gameplay reinterpretation into c++20 and HD assets ready to use.

Open Source is nice. Better to have a trashy Chinese OSS for their hardware than not have any. Significanly speedup a process.
A friend of mine took the original shitty BliKVM source with a lot of issues and suspicious home calls and rewrote it in Rust, added QUIC, and fixed tons of issues with keyboard on mobile, etc.
Yes, it used an Ai (Sol/Astra, Opus/Fable, Argon) that was a long project!
Is this code worse than what a human wrote? For sure, this one is better than partially working BliKVM with a lot of vulnerabilities.
Not every project or a good piece of hardware can have a genius, human coder. And there are LLM help a lot!
