There have been only 6 Games in NHL History where a Team didn’t dress a single Canadian Player. 4 of those 6, have been the last 4 Games by the Minnesota Wild

AARON RODGERS: “I'm on the phone with the head doctor at the NFL … I asked him, ‘If you get the vax can you contract or spread the disease?’ He said, ‘No.’ I said, ‘Well, tell me this then … Five scouts are out with COVID — all fully vaxxed. How'd that happen?’ He called me a conspiracy theorist.”

PM @MarkJCarney has decided to ignore the Court of Sport Arbitration (CSA) ruling against the @IIHFHockey & will unilaterally ban Russia from playing in the World Junior Championship this year. People may well agree with Carney’s decision but I’m just not a big fan of hypocrisy. There are currently 24 Russian born (junior level) players playing in the 3 leagues that make up the CHL all with CDN visas issued by the Carney gov. Russia can ice a team for this year’s tournament being held in Red Deer & Edmonton without needing any new visas. There are 4 Russian born players currently playing on CDN University hockey teams with CDN student visas issued by the Carney gov. There are also 22 Russian born professional players in the AHL & 66 in the NHL all with CDN work visas issued by the Carney gov. The faux outrage by the PM is meaningless to me. If he was truly serious about banning Russians from playing hockey in Canada, he’d revoke the 116 student/work visas his gov issued to Russian born hockey players, no? #Hypocrite

A shirtless man in Chicago charged a firefighter in the middle of an active emergency. A female officer was right there with a taser and didn’t stop him first. The firefighter didn’t flinch. He swung his Halligan tool and dropped him with one hit. Police moved in and restrained the man while witnesses watched. Charging a firefighter holding a Halligan was a terrible decision.

Adam Carolla tells The Atlantic to “F*CK OFF” and “EAT SH*T” for demanding you forgive the people who tried to destroy your life over a COVID shot. He shows their previous headlines on the screen, and it’s not pretty. CAROLLA: “Of course all the people who wanted everyone drawn and quartered for not getting vaccinated or wearing a mask want a f*cking amnesty.” “Suck my dick, f*ck off, Atlantic, and eat sh*t, because you guys all deserve whatever the f*ck you’re getting.” “BUT THE MAIN THING YOU’RE GETTING IS NO ONE’S GOING TO LISTEN TO YOU EVER AGAIN.” THE ATLANTIC THEN: “The Anti-Vaccine Right Brought Human Sacrifice to America” “Unvaccinated People Need to Bear the Burden” “Vaccine Refusers Don’t Get to Dictate Terms Anymore” “Some Americans No Longer Believe in the Common Good” THE ATLANTIC, YEARS LATER: “Let’s Declare a Pandemic Amnesty” “We need to forgive one another for what we did and said when we were in the dark about COVID.” First of all, forgiveness comes AFTER you apologize. Your headline should be “We’re sorry. We acted like monsters.” Not “we were in the dark about COVID” and didn’t know any better. You didn’t know any better because you CENSORED people like us. Screw off Atlantic. No Amnesty.

I am all for treating the situation in Wainwright carefully, however, when an American base is attacked resulting in similar casualties, we receive information far faster than this. It has been nearly 24 hours. If you want to control the spread of misinformation: share the facts.

According to CSIS, Canada's spy agency, at least 11 MPs and 13 staff were implicated in Chinese foreign interference. But I don't think that's what Mark Brookfield is talking about here.

So we’ve gone from “shut down their electricity, see how they like it”; to “let’s buy their electricity because we need it”. Seriously, Liberal comedy writes itself.

Joni Mitchell who recently told Canadians at the Juno’s that Mark Carney was a blessing and we were lucky to have him because “you know what’s happening” in the U.S. was just sworn in as an American citizen after waiting 62 years to become one. I guess it’s not as bad in the U.S. as she tried to let on.

The HST/GST has govts profiting from the higher prices they pit on external causes. Add to that a 2nd carbon tax (Clean Fuel Reg) of 19 cts/l for diesel, 14 to 18 cts/l on gasoline and the blame on external factors behind fuel costs, eroding affordability, goes out the window
Replying to @GasPriceWizard
@GasPriceWizard The tax on inflated gas prices is a lot of gov revenue During these high tax income times the gov should decrease their gas tolls For the people

Stelco CEO Lourenco Goncalves sets the record straight: > Has tried desperately to help the Canadian government re-establish a bridge with the US and build Fortress North America just to be ignored. > The market in Canada is too small for galvanized steel, the production is greater than the Canadian market even without imports. They need exports. > Tried to reach Mark Carney just to be ignored. Breakdown: Stelco CEO went out of his way to try to help the government and navigate the sector just to be ingnored, then the governments tried to load his company with debt just so they won't have a negative headline of layoffs.
