Heart breaking news. Her lasting gift is that she came and met her mother, something to cherish as you grieve. Sending love and support.

Distracted by beauty, but no regrets.

Glad you were able to hang tough. It’s surprising how these impulses spring up — some are easier to quell than others. But You are strong! And you did great this time.

Throngs of people will move into the path of travel to try and observe the event but won’t have made specific arrangements nor travelled with provisions. Stores will be stripped like in the early covid days. Your mayor is correct to offer advanced warning.

Reach out to your medical provider immediately. You need care beyond what you are able to give yourself at the moment. No shame, just make sure you get your needs met. Please don’t delay. Post back and let us know how you are doing.

Here are a few of my go-to’s for breakfast; hope they work for you: toast with almond butter or hummus, sous vide egg white bites, keto granola and yogurt, protein balls (found them at Whole Foods but there are others.). Happy to see that you adding attention to your nutrition.

The journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. Thank you for loving yourself to the point of seeking change and finding the path to take.

Grateful for your kindness, but what’s the larger solution — independent living clearly is no longer working and she needs a higher level of care and support. I hope a referral to adult protective services was part of the intervention.

Anyone else zeroing in on three vacations a year, oversized charitable donations and excessive housing? This seems like a classic case of entitlement.

OK to whine — let it out! That way it won’t eat at you. But you’ve been in tight spaces in the months til now, so you know you can breathe and reaffirm and praise yourself through the hard moments. Here for you!

The fact that the cycle is 6 weeks or so is important to recognize. That’s the same interval as unsupported coping after trauma: folks who say “I’m fine, doing OK” after a serious harm often find things falling apart about 6 weeks afterwards.

Even if nothing else goes right with your day, a made bed reflects intention and accomplishment. That counts for something on those crappy days.

Tears for you, thanks for Doug the CEO who gave so much by just being himself. Wishing you many stardust reunions.

As a frequent flier — whose company only pays for coach seats — I often work while in flight. Laptop or ipad use is nearly impossible with a full recline of the seat ahead. But in only a handful of time have I not been able to find a joint solution. Kindness counts!
