Good thing about traders is If market moves up a little we start talking about nifty 30000/35000 And if market falls a big we start talking 20000/12000 Very optimistic whichever side we start moving..@SarangSood

Imagine holding the same asset for 46 years and ending up at the exact same dollar price. Then open the Indian version and see 64x. The metal didn’t change. The money did.

MTF is not the problem. Using it without a clear edge is. Margin funding is expensive. You’re paying interest every day you hold the position. So if you’re using leverage in chop, ranges, or weak setups, the funding cost + small adverse moves will bleed you slowly. That’s the death trap. How to use it properly: • Only use MTF on strong, clear trends.
Not on “maybe this breaks” setups. • Higher conviction, smaller size.
Leverage should amplify a good idea, not create a bigger position just because you can. • Strict stop-loss is non-negotiable.
Your stop should be close enough that the funding cost doesn’t matter if you’re wrong. If the trade needs room to breathe, you probably shouldn’t be on margin. • Time is against you.
The longer you hold, the more funding eats into your edge. So MTF works better for momentum/trend continuation where the move happens relatively fast, not for slow grinds. Leverage is just a tool. Used on high-probability trend setups with tight risk = useful. Used to force trades or hold hope = expensive way to lose money. Trade the trend. Cut the losers fast. Respect the cost of capital.

What is #MTF? Donating your money to broker Nifty 50 CAGR: 3Y ~6.5% | 5Y ~6% | 10Y ~11.5% MTF cost: ~12% a year. Midcap 150 CAGR ~12–13% Smallcap 250 CAGR ~11–12% Still using MTF “for long term” and expecting to make money? You’re basically paying 12% to earn 6–12%, before tax, before volatility, and before the next drawdown forces you to either book loss or keep funding a falling portfolio. Leverage works when returns are comfortably above the cost of money. Right now, for most people, MTF is just a recurring donation to the broker. Not advice. Just math. #MTF

Time has come retail should stop buying into equities and start redeeming some MFs to suck liquidity out of market, this will pull the markets again to new highs…

The reason for underperformance is excess liquidity in the market, AI and LTCG, STT and other taxes are jus narratives, financials and economic state are doing fine…
HOPES OF LTCG CUT AND AI UNWIND ARE NARRATIVES, NOT CATALYSTS. Bernstein India looks cheap but it is still expensive Third most expensive market globally other Asian markets offer stronger growth

So the weekend script was crude gap-up + Trump positive for Nifty gap-up. Both got rejected. The market looked at the setup and said ‘no thanks..

So the Finance Minister wants less liquidity so people can’t exit so easily. Perfect timing to hike taxes then. Fundamentals remain ‘fine’, of course.
Excess liquidity in India’s equity market has contributed to underperformance and may continue to do so, according to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. “Because of the ease of liquidity, ease of availability, people are even exiting easily” from equities, Sitharaman told CNBC in an exclusive interview on the sidelines of the IMF-World Bank meetings in Bangkok on Friday. However, the fundamentals of the Indian economy are “fine,” she said.

Trump pauses 100% tariff threat on India over Russian oil purchases. Just before the Oct 18 deadline, he waived the Graham Act provisions that could have hit major buyers (incl. India) with up to 100% duties. Temporary relief for Indian exporters + energy security. Monday market: Positive bias expected on Nifty/Sensex as one big overhang eases. Rupee & export stocks (IT, pharma, textiles) could benefit. High crude still the bigger risk. Temporary only — can be reversed. #IndiaUSTrade #Nifty #Trump

After sharp expiry-day swings, low auction liquidity, and heavy pushback from traders (amplified strongly on social media), SEBI has revised its Closing Auction Session (CAS) framework. Key change (effective 7 Dec 2026): Derivatives settlement prices for both index and stock F&O will now be calculated using the last 30-minute VWAP of the continuous trading session — the earlier method. CAS closing prices will no longer be used for expiry settlement. CAS itself is not scrapped. It continues as a shorter 10-minute auction (3:30–3:40 pm) for closing price discovery in the cash market, with some operational tweaks. SEBI received ~20,000 comments on its consultation paper after initially maintaining that “CAS is here to stay.” The regulator has now adjusted the most controversial part following sustained public and social media feedback. Partial relief for option traders, while the broader CAS mechanism remains. #SEBI #CAS #FNO #VWAP #StockMarket

A big thank you to all the traders, analysts, and market participants on social media and main stream media @_anujsinghal @CNBC_Awaaz who consistently highlighted the expiry-day volatility, low liquidity issues, and operational concerns. The volume of feedback (including ~20,000 suggestions) clearly played a role in this course correction. This is a good example of constructive engagement between the market and the regulator. Hope this brings more stability on expiry days. @IRITA_india @justnottamomma @iarjuntandon @v_ranjha @Ashish1Nanda @PRAFULKULKARN18 @SarangSood @lalitjain_LJ @Ved_Jaiswal #SEBI #CAS #FandO #IndianMarkets #Traders

STORY | Cockroach Janata Party being 'funded by donors' in US: American Singer Mary Millben Alleging that the Cockroach Janata Party is being "funded by donors" in the US, American singer Mary Millben on Wednesday said it is "not the time to be silent" and called upon all "young patriots" in India to rise and peacefully protest the "disruptive spirit" of the outfit. Millben made these remarks as supporters of the opposition parties and the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) are protesting in New Delhi to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Democracy cannot run on suspicion alone. If someone says an election was rigged, then bring proof. Show the bogus voters. Show the manipulated machine. Show the compromised official. A feeling, a dislike for BJP, or anger against the CEC cannot become evidence. The Supreme Court has held that SIR by the ECI is legitimate. You may question the process, you may challenge an error, but you cannot reject a constitutional exercise only because the result does not suit your politics. At the same time, those saying this entire CJP movement is funded by anti-India forces must also bring proof. Nationalism also cannot run on allegations. This is where we must mature as a democracy. If you want BJP out, vote them out. Defeat them constitutionally. Build credibility. Build leadership. Build trust. Protest is a right. But disruption without proof is not politics-It is noise.

Americans have mastered the art of bullying the world. They preach democracy, freedom and a rules-based order, but when their own interests are at stake, those principles often take a back seat. Every superpower serves its interests. The hypocrisy lies in pretending otherwise.
