Eighteen years ago Imran Khan articulated a vision for Muslims in the west that has now come into fruition!

Totally unnecessary. Such "protected" U-turns worsen congestion, especially when accommodating a few hundred vehicles on roads carrying thousands hourly.
Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore already ruined Maulana Shaukat Ali Road and Khayaban-e-Firdausi with U-turns every 1 km.
Love the new underpass! Wish CDA had also considered building a protected U-turn near Islamabad Club to facilitate not hundreds, but thousands of members every day.
At the moment, we have to drive all the way to Ankara Chowk roundabout, make a U-turn and drive back to the club. This adds unnecessary distance, wastes time and fuel, and contributes to traffic congestion.
A properly designed, protected U-turn near the club would make access much more convenient.
With CDA completing such impressive infrastructure projects in record time, surely this relatively small improvement is worth considering!

False. There was never such a stance given by Iqbal aur Quaid e Azam (the two men who can be described as undisputed founding fathers of Pakistan). On the other hand, both considered Zionist ingress into Palestine completely illegitimate.

Not imperial but definitely exploitative and use the same imperialist tools to exploit third world countries
Imperialism today is the dominance of finance capital which gravitates around the IMF and World Bank.
These institutions sleek to debt trap foreign countries, prevent agricultural reform, and make them entirely dependent on western financing and raw materials exports to western countries.
Chinese foreign policy is the number one threat to the regime of finance capital in the world today because they finance the development of productive infrastructure in countries where development has been fettered by Western finance.
The US strategy is to trap foreign countries in debt far beyond their ability to pay, then impose austerity on these countries when they inevitably need to refinance their loans.
The Chinese strategy is to help these same countries develop productive infrastructure so they can become economically independent and produce more value, which can then be reinvested in further development rather than being siphoned away by Western financiers.
And this is why so many African, South Asian, and South American countries now prefer China to the US & Europe.
Of course China also benefits from this, as development abroad creates new trade opportunities and markets for them, but this is win-win cooperation that benefits both parties involved. Entirely the opposite of US foreign policy which enriches Western financiers at the expense of the debtor countries which become trapped in poverty and debt.
Combined with the recent resurgence of Russia this is providing new possibilities for anti-imperialist development across the global south. China wont involve themselves in the internal politics of foreign countries, but Russia is more than happy to give then weapons and even troops for the purpose of defending their sovereignty against NATO forces.
How anyone could look at the current global situation and claim that Russia and China are the imperialists is mind boggling to me.

Under the proposed law, a licence will be required from the secretary of the administrative department to hold any dramatic or theatrical performance.

The bill seeks to ban performances that are:
· Scandalous or defamatory
· Likely to create disaffection towards the government
· Corrupting, obscene or vulgar
· Likely to hurt religious sentiments
Will political satire or legitimate criticism of government policies be banned?

So much of the Hasan Piker discourse is dominated in bad faith arguments that there's no opportunity to ask specific, pointed questions to Piker - if you believe this, then do you believe the Democratic Party that commited the Genocide is evil? Can you address this publicly?

I don’t want to believe this.
I hoped it was fake news.
But Dawn itself confirms it: ECC just approved Rs 1.094 billion for a luxury executive jet (Lineage L-1000) for the Pakistan Army.
Meanwhile, according to the WB Oct 26 report: 48% of Pakistanis — roughly 120 million people — lived below the $4.20/day poverty line in 2024.
What’s missing here?
Is it unpatriotic to notice the gap?
