Man, I really wish @taoxin VAN.JS approach was the standard. Simple js function instead of this complex html / jsx bullshit and other approaches

Imagine being the US government, having this win handed to you, and not doing everything possible with high skilled immigration to ensure it remains the case forever.

So if you're going into academia, please *mostly* focus on your research but also make sure to Fight The Good Fight. But hedge by keeping connections open to the outside world so you can preserve leverage and optionality.

"Users don't care about performance" They do. They just rarely have a choice. Give them to choose between a slow and a fast app and you will be blown away by the results. The problem is that all apps these days are a slow, buggy crap. It's you who don't care. Not them.

What’s remarkable here is that if Microsoft had acquired OpenAI, they would have probably gotten fewer employees to move over. Truly amazing.

Realization: Null pointers are virtually always a language design mistake. But they're often just a consequence of a bigger design mistake: default values/zero values. If your semantics requires that every type has a default value, then you're forced into null pointers.

As Manchester United get humiliated by City at home, a reminder that Erik Ten Hag drove @Cristiano out of the club and said he’d lose no sleep over it… and that the same @Cristiano has since scored 43 goals for club & country this year. The guy’s a total fraud.

I cannot stop thinking about this. Andrew created Zig and ~15 years ago asked on SO how to open a file in C++

Just saw a tutorial that uses <button> to create a, well, "ToggleButton," despite the fact that it's actually an on/off switch and therefore should be a checkbox. FE developers, don't do this. Please learn proper, semantic, accessible HTML before attempting any framework.

VanJS es un framework de renderizado ultraligero, basado en JavaScript vainilla y DOM puros. Me encantan estas miniherramientas fabricadas con mucho cariño. #javascript #vanjs
