Not every rich person is the right investor for you.
Not every property owner is the right person to sell to you.
Not every tenant is the right tenant to lease from you.
You get my point.
Your job in life is to cast a wide enough net where you can find the right people who are meant to work with you or sell to you or invest with you.
And this takes TIME, and a lot of effort.
You have to pick up the phone over and over again to find properties to buy.
You have to go from dinner table to dinner table or Zoom call to Zoom call to find partners for your deal.
You have to wake up every day and embrace the uncomfortable feeling of rejection in order to make it all happen.
Volume and effort wins this game.
Don’t get discouraged.
It takes years to build your network and find your people so you can do great deals.

Your chosen identity is either your engine or your anchor.
So many people will choose to identify with their struggle, rather than their potential...and it will determine their motion (or lack of it).
Be careful of the stories you tell yourself about who you are.

Not all innovation is good.
Just because something is new doesn't mean it's better.
Focus on meaningful innovation that truly adds value rather than chasing every new trend.

Sage advice from Li Lu
(Charlie Munger’s favorite investor)
"Part of the game is to come into your own.
You must find some way that perfectly fits your personality.
It is a competitive game, so you’re going to run into a lot of hardworking fellows.
The only way to gain an edge is through long and hard work. Do what you love to do, so you just naturally do it or think about it all the time, even if you’re relaxing.
Over time, you can accumulate a huge advantage if it comes naturally to you. The ones who really figure out their own style and stick to it and let their natural temperament take over will have a big advantage.
The game is a process of discovering: who you are, what you’re interested in, what you’re good at, what you love to do, then magnifying that until you gain a sizable edge over all the other people."
