Let me state a little-known fact: ISRAEL GETS LESS THAN 0.1 PERCENT OF THE FEDERAL BUDGET. That’s less than one tenth of a percent!
But there is an ad running that tells voters they can’t afford groceries because the United States gives so much money to Israel. In reality, the United States spends money in and on countries all around the world – but this ad singles out the Jewish state. The ad is as dangerous as it is dishonest.
You can disagree with how the United States spends money abroad. But telling hungry families that the Jewish state is the reason they are suffering is wrong and shameful.
Blaming Jews for people’s problems is an old story. Anybody who has read the last century of history knows where it leads. It is a dark pathway.
This ad is anti-Jewish hate and should come down immediately. Abdul El-Sayed should denounce it today.

For Americans on the Left, especially Boomers and Gen Xers who remember the actual activism of the 1960s and 1970s, there’s a longing to see their children follow the example of students in France and throughout Europe, who are leading inspiring demonstrations and confronting police fearlessly in their quest to build a better society.
If this is true--"Israel is a fact on the ground with borders it is able to defend with one of the best militaries in the world, a thriving economy"--why the fuck are WE, who are always BROKE, subsidizing that "thriving economy"?
Well, to the extent that some Zionists claim that that Jews "deserve" or "have a right" to the Jewish state of Israel, such an argument no longer really makes sense, except not in the way you mean.
These arguments have been resolved for quite some time now. No other country faces such existential questions and anyone raising them should have their motives questioned, at minimum.
Israel is a fact on the ground with borders it is able to defend with one of the best militaries in the world, a thriving economy and a society based on the values that form the foundation of western civilization.
It exists to the same extent as any other nation on earth, including the US.
The fact is that the very issue of "Zionism" as so expressed is an anachronism.
Surely the fact that the Welfare Queen State of Israel the #1 recipient of US aid has nothing to do with it

Whatever you think of this ad, the fact that anyone could spin it as antisemitic is gobsmacking. The only way you can do that is to equate the nation-state of Israel with all Jews everywhere, which is insane.
I’m sick to my stomach. I honestly never thought that I would witness such an antisemitic piece of American political propaganda in my lifetime. This is Nazi-Islamic antisemitism delivered against the Jewish collective in 2026 in the United States. By endorsing Abdel El-Sayed, the Democratic Party has crossed a threshold that signals a sickening decay of dangerous proportions to the American Jewish community. If this ad isn’t pulled with an explicit apology to the Jewish community, I will say Kaddish over my country of birth. I’m disgusted by what was once a great country. Voting Democratic is now like voting for the Nazi party.
