Our people will not remain ethnically cleansed, dispossessed of their land, exiled, and living in tents forever. One day there will be a dawn of freedom from Oromo colonialism. nitter.gq/teklitGH/status/207847…

Reports of attacks on civilians in #Ethiopia's Amhara and Tigray regions are deeply disturbing. Among those reportedly killed in the Jaari 2 displacement camp in Amhara were children, including a newborn. In another attack in Rama, Tigray, several people were reportedly killed while trying to get food. While these are the latest incidents, drone attacks and civilian casualties have tragically become frequent across Ethiopia. The violence in northern Ethiopia is pushing an already fragile health system closer to collapse. Hospitals face shortages of health workers, medicines, and equipment. Ambulance services are severely limited. Insecurity is obstructing the delivery of life-saving medical supplies to some areas. @WHO and @UN partners are working around the clock to deliver additional much needed medical supplies to all the affected regions. As fighting continues, more people are likely to lose access to essential health care, including emergency services, maternal and child health care, and treatment for diseases. Civilians must be protected. Health workers and humanitarian supplies must be allowed to reach those in need. The most courageous choose peace. The best medicine is peace. reuters.com/world/africa/str…

Authorities and security forces in Ethiopia’s contested Western Tigray Zone are arbitrarily detaining ethnic Tigrayans and imposing a discriminatory system that severely restricts their movements, employment, and access to services.

The ENDF (Oromo army) has converted Lidya Secondary School in Feresmay into a military camp since last week.

Got blocked for this reply. Apparently the legendary unknown resource he never stops name dropping in his blog , UMD, still hasn’t got the memo that 1.5m+ people are living in agony

I understand well why you feel so. They are nothing but colonial army.
It’s been 4 days since the Oromo forces took control of Shire. The town has fallen into their hands twice before, but this time, something feels strangely different.Unlike during the previous occupations,I barely feel as though the town is under occupation.I can’t quite explain why!

In one of our current top reads, a Tigrayan writer reckons with the leaders who betrayed their people and the human cost of a war that never seems to end. f.mtr.cool/j9hv2cq8iq

Israel has reportedly sent military advisers to Ethiopia, in addition to drone operators who were there from the beginning, to assist Abiy's army in the war against Tigray.

💔 My uncle was killed on Oct. 7 in Adi Seneyto, near Adwa, Tigray. My family says Ethiopian military jets bombed his home, killing two civilians and injuring others. Abiy Ahmed’s government is killing innocent civilians in their own homes. Ayaaaaay 💔 Rest in peace. 🕊️

Till now, the family still doesn’t know where he is.
One of my friends, who came from Tigray two months ago, was taken by aa policies from his workplace (Goro Adebabay) 3 days ago and has been detained. His whereabouts are currently unknown.

NEW: The new war does not feel like the last for Tigrayans — freedom fighters have become corrupt autocrats, and former enemies are now suddenly allies. The people are being asked to make more sacrifices, but no longer believe in the cause, writes Zeywegih Leyti for @newlinesmag. newlinesmag.com/first-person…

What happened to us, as horrible as it is, we will not allow our suffering to be used to justify invasion of sovereign country . After all, it is the Oromo ethno fascist government you ardently support who invited them to commit genocide in the first place. #NotInMyName
I supported Eritrean sovereignty, but the atrocities committed by Eritrean forces against the Tigrayans, deeply shook that support. It is hard to forget or forgive. Shabia must be defeated for once so we live in peace!

Deqi Adey, please save and archive posts by so-called Tigrayan media outlets and individuals who promote genocidal narratives, celebrate or justify attacks on civilians, and excuse war crimes.

as usual, tigrayan infants are being massacred by Oromo army that is expected. TPLF does NOT have any interest in protecting civilians. It will use the massacres to recruit more AK-47-wielding fighters (aka mehereni). TDF needs to distance themselves from tplf warlords

Of all things, Jawar is worried about the safety of Tigrayans! The political flexibility of Oromo elites is remarkable: some play the empire’s victims, some pose as Tigray’s protectors, while some control the narrative, others annihilate communities. nitter.gq/Jawar_Mohammed/status/…
🚨 URGENT ALERT Sources close to the matter say a decision has been made to transfer detained Tigrayan leaders from Mekelle to Senafe, Eritrea, including: • Lt. Gen. Tadesse Werede • Esayas Tadesse • Col. Tewolde Embeb • Col. Gebregziabher Alemseged Given their longstanding tensions with Eritrean authorities, this raises grave concerns for their safety. Diplomatic and humanitarian actors must act urgently to establish their whereabouts, secure access, and demand guarantees for their safety and treatment.

pro Abiy politician from Tigray went to the police station to inquire about arbitrarily arrested Tigrayans and tell the police they are being unjustifiably detained. In response, the police arrested them too, saying, 'u also have nothing to do,' and held them for 3 hours.
