Breaking: For the 34th time in a row, the world overwhelmingly votes to condemn and end the illegal US 🇺🇸 blockade of Cuba 🇨🇺.
Here's a map I made of the official vote.

Were you taught this at school?
James Erskine (Lord Grange) imprisoned his wife on St Kilda because she threatened to expose her husband and his associates involvement in the rise against the annexation of Scotland (Jacobite Rebellion)
She was kept there for 13 yrs.

“Do you understand who you are dealing with? This is America. Back up.”
A United Nations meeting was dramatically suspended yesterday after US ambassador Mike Waltz and Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla both ignored the chair’s plea for order in the chamber.
The problem started when Waltz blamed Cubans for the shocking US embargoes and blockades that are causing huge suffering to the people of the island.
Cuban representatives, astonished at the way Waltz blamed the victims for the crisis, in their eyes, stood up and objected, citing Rule 71, which allows listeners to raise a point of order.
Ambassador Waltz responded that the Cubans didn’t like the substance of his speech, so were not raising a point of order.
But when complaints continued, this caused Ambassador Waltz to lose his temper and shout “Back up! Back away. Do you understand what you’re dealing with? This is America.”
.
INTERNATIONAL TERRITORY
The rest of the United Nations was outraged by this attitude, as the UN building is legally international territory.
When Waltz refused to stop his tirade, Khalilur Rahman, chair of the 81st session, ordered that the meeting be instantly suspended. Waltz ignored him.
The meeting was then resumed, but footage of the argument created a huge storm on social media.
Some people in the US defended Waltz’s narrative, blaming Cubans for the suffering caused by the US embargos.
But much of the commentary from the rest of the world said that the United Nations, for the safety of the delegates and the organization itself, should no longer be situated in New York.
When New York was originally chosen as the site, the US pledged not to politicize US visa access to meetings—but has regularly broken the pledge, such as refusing to allow visas for Palestinians.

Is this 'logical' or not?...
The arguments used by eugenicists to justify the extermination/prevention of 'undesirables' can also be used, by the 'undesirables', to end 'royal'/elite bloodlines.

There you are folks think of this next time the leccy or gas gets cut off or you cannot put a meal on the table for your family, the London Russophobes and genociders are giving the fascists in Ukraine another £10 billion of your money!
Did anyone vote for that?
I had a great conversation with the UK Prime Minister @AndyBurnham, and we are grateful to Britain for its unwavering, strong, and truly leading support. Today, Britain made a strong decision to provide an additional £10 billion in financial support – £7 billion in economic support over the next three years, and another £3 billion in British export support, primarily for the supply of much-needed weapons that will strengthen our protection of lives. This is on top of the annual support Britain already provides to Ukraine.
A truly strong and very timely step – coming right as Russia needs to see and feel that Ukraine will not be left alone to deal with the problems Russia is so eager to escalate. Every step to strengthen Ukraine brings Russia closer to realizing that it must end this war of its own making.
Of course, Andy and I also discussed sanctions policy, and Britain will remain principled on this – setting an example that matters globally.
I am grateful to Britain, to Prime Minister Andy Burnham and his team, and to every person around the world who understands that standing with Ukraine is the right thing to do – that it means being on the right side of history.

I keep saying this @andyburnham is an idiot & simply does not have the intelligence, acumen & gravitas to be Prime Minister: nitter.gq/ScaryEurope/status/211… There is nothing humorous about ramping up talk of war & stockpiling for a national emergency. People are trying so survive. Idiot!

Subject:
Hope.
In my view the constant reference to "Hope" is becoming tiresome and has outlived its usefulness as a metaphor for delay.
