BREAKING NEWS! ๐ณ๐ฑ The RDW just approved Tesla's own "minor" changes to Tesla Assisted Driving, a smaller speed margin that resets to zero at every start plus the new name in the car, so the "it lets you speed" argument in the TCMV just got a lot thinner (source: RDW).
๐จ FSD EUROPE: NETHERLANDS SIGNS OFF ON THE CHANGES! ๐ณ๐ฑ๐ช๐บ
The Dutch approval authority RDW just approved Tesla's update to its driver assistance system, now called Tesla Assisted Driving.
โ
Speed offset cut from +50% to max +10%
โ
Resets to 0% every time you start the car
โ
RDW found no negative effects on system or driving behavior
โ
Existing approval stays valid, 9 other EU countries informed
โ
+10% is exactly what Germany agreed with Tesla in September
I'll take +10% all day if it gets FSD onto every European road faster. Tesla is ticking every box regulators ask for.
Is Germany next? ๐

๐ฅ๐ช๐บ Tesla 2026.39.6 software update with FSD (Supervised) v14.2.2.6 is now rolling out to the 3rd batch of owners in Europe!

No change to FSD release notes, so itโs likely a bug-fix version

It brings FSD to the 2026.38+ software branch, which includes Halloween Mode.

Who sells what in Spain? ๐ช๐ธ A thread on brands and models.
BEV, last 12 months: BYD is number one as a brand, ahead of Tesla. The Model 3 is still the best selling model by far.
October: no Tesla wave this time, Tesla below 9% of BEV. Leapmotor is 3rd as a brand, and Geely's E2 is the 3rd best selling BEV.

BREAKING NEWS! ๐ณ๐ด๐ช๐บ Norway's road authority confirms most EU approval authorities were simply "not ready" to vote on Tesla Assisted Driving in October.
Tesla already dropped its exemption request on maximum lateral acceleration, renamed the system and toned down the marketing, and is still expected to tighten speed limit adaptation. Meanwhile a December vote is not even decided and the wording of the decision is still open ๐

SpaceX has now crossed 700 Falcon 9 launches
700 missions flown by a single rocket family, at a scale and pace that have completely transformed modern spaceflight
Starlink 15-16 marked the 700th mission on October 27, with Starlink 15-18 following as the 701st on October 31
Since its first flight in 2010, Falcon 9 has revolutionized space transportation through reusable rocket technology
What once took years now happens every few days
SpaceX has turned launching and landing rockets into routine spaceflight
And that's an absolutely extraordinary engineering achievement

BREAKING NEWS! ๐ฎ๐น Italy now publicly backs a swift EU approval of Tesla Assisted Driving (FSD Supervised).
Matteo Salvini, Italy's Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, posted it this morning after a call with Elon Musk. This matters for the December committee vote: a yes needs 65% of the EU population, and that line is out of reach without Italy or Spain. Italy alone brings about 13% of it to the table.
To keep both feet on the ground: this is political support, not a national recognition of the Dutch RDW approval, and Italy's own decision on Tesla's file is still pending. No December TCMV agenda is published yet either.

Very positive and constructive conversation with @elonmusk today.
Italy is looking with great interest at the opportunities offered by assisted driving technologies, with a focus on innovation and road safety, and supports a swift EU approval of Tesla Assisted Driving.
Thanks for the exchange, Elon!
10k Starship launches/year is just from Starbase Louisiana
In a comment to the FAA, SpaceX says it wants to launch 10,000 times per year.
The FAA asked for input on where to build new spaceports and how to give rocket launches priority in US airspace. They're preparing for 10,000 launches a year by 2035.
SpaceX replied that rockets aren't the bottleneck anymore, the FAA's outdated air traffic processes are. They created their own airspace tool (Cleared) that most major US airlines already get for free.
They also noted that Starbase Louisiana is designed for ~30 launches and reentries PER DAY (!!)

France ๐ซ๐ท just published its autonomous vehicle roadmap
What's in it:
- A homologation doctrine for autonomous vehicles, H1 2027 (CNRV)
- Pilot passenger service around Versailles and Paris-Saclay from early 2028
- Grand Paris + Bolt + Stellantis services from 2028
- Delivery robots are on French roads since 7 August (great for looting rioters)
What's not in it:
Tesla Assisted Driving
Not a single word..
For driverless shuttles: roadmap is ready
For a supervised system with a human behind the wheel: still "under review"
It's a different legal track, I know. ADS vs ADAS. But the signal is loud.
Is France just blocking Tesla, or are they just too caught up with blocking others, like Tesla, in order to protect their precious Stellantis?
