The implication is that “she’s not saying no to anyone right now” which implies HEAVILY that an assault was occurring. Even if she initially signed up for slut games.
What bothers me about the Cornell Seven story is how quickly it’s being turned into a national morality play before we have all the facts.
Meanwhile, the accuser gets anonymity while the accused have their names and faces blasted across the country before anything has been adjudicated.
It has Duke Lacrosse vibes, though I think the media is doing a better job sorting through the facts in this case.
The grossest detail is the “free pussy” text imo.
These conservative commentator dudes will really see a girl who’s drunk and interested and sex and fantasize that she wanted to be posted in a group chat as a free piece of meat for use. Pathetic.
I saw a really interesting and wildly bad take that the Cornell 7 horror could be solved if we encourage kids to “tattle to authority” instead of saying tattling isn’t good.
Here’s the problem, your son doesn’t need to go to authorities- they will show up late, not believe the victim, possibly further victimize the women, etc.
What your son needs to have the authority of Jesus Christ and a good set of fists. He needs to be a protector of the vulnerable.
Raising weak sons is how stuff like this happens.
