For centuries, black cats have been surrounded by mystery, legends, and superstition.
In medieval Europe, people believed that black cats were companions of witches, and sometimes even witches themselves in disguise. Seeing one cross your path was considered a sign of bad luck.
But not everywhere!
In Scotland, a black cat appearing at your doorstep was believed to bring prosperity. In Japan, black cats are often considered symbols of good fortune. And sailors once believed that having a black cat aboard their ship would protect them during dangerous voyages.
I have always found black cats especially beautiful. There is something mysterious about their dark silhouettes, bright eyes, and the way they seem to disappear into the shadows.
So this Halloween, I decided to paint one. π€
But my cat has a little secret.
When the lights go out, the entire background begins to glow in the darkness, revealing a magical night sky filled with hundreds of tiny stars.
And the black cat? He remains almost invisible, quietly watching you from the darkness. β¨
Perhaps black cats donβt bring bad luck at all.
Perhaps they simply know a little more about magic than we do. πββ¬π
Happy Halloween! Do you believe in black cat superstitions?

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says itβs βquite terribleβ that people have so much DRAM sitting in their own PCs instead of being used in data centers.
βEveryone have a bunch of the worldβs limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer. And be used 5% of the time,β
He argues that cloud data centers should make better use of limited memory supplies instead of people running AI models locally.

Your computer will be some kind of dumb terminal incapable of running anything more demanding than Notepad, and you'll need to connect to a data centre to get anything done under this glorious future envisaged by the tech bros.

Everywhere is severely understaffed or running a skeleton crew while nobody can find a job. Why? Because they hate you. The people running your government think you're inferior and want you to die. Basically everyone who owns property or stocks wants you to be homeless and die.
This is such a bleak story about what it's like to try to land a job right now. nytimes.com/interactive/2026β¦

Its no conspiracy that ICE detention centers are in such close proximity to Neuralink Development Labs. Look it up. In Arizona, Florida and Hawaii just to name a few. And to think there's individuals completely disappearing off of the ICE grid/ databases at an alarming rate.

We at American Dad! have so much gratitude and love for Patrick Stewart. He said how happy he was to do American Dad! because he was so rarely asked to do comedy, which is insane, as his ability to get the laugh was uncanny. Thank you, Sir, for sharing your joyful spirit, inspiring voice, and willingness to be ridiculous. You turned Avery Bullock, Deputy Director of the CIA, into someone the world loved and couldn't get enough of. We will miss you.
