With all of my talk about the arrival and departure of the X-59, I can’t forget about the support aircraft that escorted her from Edwards Air Force Base!
About a half hour before the X-59 arrived, we welcomed NASA’s F/A-18D Hornet in its classic NASA paint scheme. It also departed about a half hour before the X-59.
NASA’s 250th F-15 was the chase plane for the X-59, flying alongside her on the right during arrival and departing just behind her.
Finally, NASA’s Gulfstream was also part of the support aircraft. It looked like someone onboard was taking photos of everyone on the ground during its arrival. I’d be curious to see what that looked like with so many of us excitedly waiting for their arrival!
It was really awesome to witness this. It might not seem like much to some, but I feel like we were witnessing a little piece of aviation history as these aircraft make their way east. What a cool moment to be there for!

Crazy how much stress gets put on a Blue Angels super hornet during a show.
Those maintainers thay keep them in the air are rockstars!
When you slow it down you can really see the shake!

Damn this one is really crushing. He had a huge impact on many of our lives as Captain Picard. One of those guys that you never thought would be gone.
The best captain to have ever skippered the Starship Enterprise.
Thank you Patrick Stewart!

As you may have noticed, NASA is my first love when it comes to aviation, and that will always be true. So catching the X-59 QueSST at NAS JRB Fort Worth today is something extremely special. This is my first time catching an X-plane!
The X-59 is an experimental aircraft developed by Lockheed Martin Skunk Works for NASA to test quiet sonic booms. It completed its first flight on October 28, 2025, making today the one-year anniversary of its first flight. How fitting to catch it on such a special day!

Please enjoy this amazing takeoff of Jared Isaacman's MiG-29 piloted by the amazing Todd "Leif" Ericson from KPVW this morning courtesy of Adrien Martinez with his permission (his was way better than mine but he isn't on X).
This was a dream experience for me and both the airport staff and the pilot were incredibly kind and accommodating to everyone!
