best analysis I've seen so far tldr: likely a healthy correction in an (up) trending market
Nasdaq-100 forward returns after one-day drops of 6.25% or more, like today’s (NDX, Jan 1985 to Nov 2026, n=33 days). Takeaways: ➤ 21 days later: average +5.2% vs +1.3% for any day. Index higher in 64% of cases vs 63%. ➤ 63 days later: average +4.9% vs +4.1% for any day. Index higher in 64% of cases vs 69%. By 3 months the edge is mostly gone. ➤ Further losses common: NDX fell another 10% or more within 63 days in 21 of 33 cases. ➤ In 1987 and 2020 a fast policy backstop ended the forced selling within two weeks. In 2000–01 and 2008 earnings and credit losses that policy couldn’t fix kept the index falling for months. Today’s trigger was the midterms. Texas elected Hinojosa as governor on a promise to freeze data center permits, and voters elsewhere passed restrictions in 40 of 41 local data center ballot measures. The obvious comparison is 2000. But the 2000 crash came from collapsing demand, while this comes from expected policy changes, and expectations can reverse. The closest precedent is April 2025: NDX fell 6.1% on tariffs, Trump hit pause three sessions later, and NDX was up 30.5% after 63 days. Then one person caused the shock and could reverse it. Here expectations depend on a new governor and Congress, so a V-reversal is harder. There is a flipside. The same Democratic wave that threatens the AI buildout also limits Trump’s room to escalate in Iran. A deal is barely priced. Lower oil would mean a less hawkish Fed, and lower rates help long-duration tech the most.

$PRL looks even more insane today let's see tomorrow
Does $PRL look insane or is it just me

What do you think happens once growth in post-training stalls and eventually shrinks?
Imo the single most bearish chart for the AI trade here Inference in only ~37% of compute usage Source @SemiAnalysis_

This is a very powerful (although simplistic) view on Pearl: it's like Bitcoin, but with a much larger security budget thanks to all the AI computations
Great write up on Pearl, thanks for the shoutout @Bankless This article does a good job highlighting how Pearl’s duplex work is an elegant solution to BTC’s security budget problem. Bitcoin has lost its monopoly on the megawatt to AI, a secular trend @prlnet benefits from.

Bittensor's complexity is both its biggest risk and what makes it so valuable. To realize that value we will need to see some kind of stability and predictability, something that tells everyone "this state of Bittensor is what we want for the network over the long-run" only then its value will be reflected in its price
The bull case for Bittensor was an appeal to Maximalism “Think Bitcoin but with arbitrary reward functions”. This was a good first pass at a useful implementation of Bitcoin, it might still work. But Pearl has narrowed in on a more authentic design “Think Bitcoin with MatMul”, The difference manifests in complexity Bittensor is far more complex than Pearl. If Bittensor got it right, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. But if they’ve got it wrong, then there’s revision after revision after revision to get to an end state that might never fully work (read: what version of Bittensor are we currently on?) By nature of the simplicity Pearl is kinda a more clear moonshot. It might also fail, but wherever it goes, you can get there quicker. And if Pearl is “correct” you’ll also get much bigger

Pearl is coming to Hyperliquid

on prl endgame i keep thinking about that small hidden section in pearl's paper i think currently for most people, pearl = mine a coin while doing AI, which is true but far from being the whole picture the real endgame is imo much bigger: (1) mining bootstraps a massive supply of compute (2) that compute gets matched with people actually needing it (3) pearl becomes a compute marketplace and if that happens, prl can become the money used to trade compute inside that marketplace that means you have something that is both a store of value and the native currency of the compute economy could be massive
"bro wat is pearl?" An explanation of @prlnet, in (very) simple terms. 🧵

The fact that everyone is referring to $PRL when they claim they've found a new great token to invest in is just another bullish sign
Funny how $PRL became the AI PoW play everyone is suddenly watching. There’s another L1 in the same niche that imo makes the comparison almost unfair: deeper tech, broader functionality, barely any attention, and a fraction of the valuation. You found $PRL, I’ve found its daddy

Since $PRL moon boys love to compare it to NOCK even though comparing them makes not much sense, I will compare it to a project where it actually makes sense. $TSC is more efficient in prefill and decode inference and has by far better tokenomics than $PRL + 1/100 of prl fdv

That makes me think that when trying to do everything, you usually don't do anything right. "Perfect is the enemy of good" The power of $PRL is in that it tries to do one thing (PoW, a little bit better (PoUW).

One of the most volatile eras of cybersecurity history is underway, but one of the most volatile eras of macroeconomic history may be coming aswell. That makes it uncomfortable to be overexposed to bitcoin & crypto, and uncomfortable to be underexposed aswell.
It looks like ~4,000 BTC just moved from the Liquid Network bridge all at once with an OP Return saying, "we are whitehats. contact us on chain". TXID: c103de95817b43f2df635ec6f35ff126ca26a7c6d20570c4b01866b2b3e69a19

Honestly lovely to see all the enthusiasm these days around $PRL, reminds me of the more glorious days of crypto. :) Dont forget to give the guys @ZanaVentures @0xRugova & @zkCryptic a well deserved follow, they‘ve written the very first in-detail PRL post back in may (afaik) 🐐

All the reasons used here to dismiss Pearl would have applied to Bitcoin in the early days also, I think this value investing thesis for this cycle is bullshit. thinking HYPE is up because of the revenues and buybacks is missing the point. being "the house of all finance" does much more for price imo. higher for $HYPE, higher for $PRL
Replying to @thekrillest1
here's the matrix + reasoning: as expected, it scored the lowest. cool tech, but ~306M new PRL gets mined over the next year vs ~336M circulating, ~91% dilution. no burn, no buyback, fees go to miners, and the company sells inference in USD. the business can grow and the token captures none of it, which is the antithesis of the value investor framework.
