Today's Update Mining on StonkPit kept stalling. Not because you did anything wrong, not because the site or the contracts were broken. It was a chain-level-problem; the door the site uses to talk to the chain was getting slammed. That door is called an RPC. It’s how the site asks “what’s on the chain?” and “please send this transaction.” Until now it was @RobinhoodCrypto's public one. Everyone on the chain shares it. When it gets busy, it puts you on hold. That’s the pause: mining stops, clock-outs sit there, the page cools down for a few seconds. So we stood up our own node. A node is our own copy of the chain, on a machine we run, with its own RPC. Same chain. Not their queue. If our node ever stalls or fails, the site falls back to using the public one. You mine the same way. What should change is the waiting — fewer stalls, fewer “cooling down” pauses, clock-outs that actually go through.

Other projects buy the number. The money from those sales, and from a few other places, all lands in one bid under the token — a bid that only goes up. That loop is the whole product.
