¡Viva Cuba! ¡Abajo el bloqueo! @PartidoPCC

No complicity in the blockade! On 28 October, the United Nations General Assembly will vote on a Cuban draft resolution calling for an end to more than six decades of US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba. This vote takes on particular significance as the United States deprives the Cuban people of vital energy supplies. The blockade threatens the lives of the Cuban people, leaves them unable to meet their most basic needs and seeks to deprive them of their right to live freely. This policy constitutes the crime of genocide. For years, the US administration has pursued this policy despite its rejection by the overwhelming majority of the world's peoples. It pressures governments and resorts to threats and blackmail to secure support for this crime of genocide and drag other countries into complicity. Turkey has so far supported the call to lift the blockade against Cuba at the United Nations. As the United States steps up its pressure and threats, Turkey must uphold this position openly and unequivocally. Refusing to support Cuba's just demand would be wholly incompatible with the bonds of brotherhood and solidarity between our people and the Cuban people. The Cuban people have extended a helping hand to our country in its most difficult times, just as they have done for peoples around the world. Turkey must stand in solidarity with the Cuban people. This is both a historical responsibility and a matter of conscience for our people. Long live Cuba! Down with the blockade! @PartidoPCC

We will not be soldiers for Israel! We will not be soldiers for the United States! The Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) staged a protest in Ankara against the Mecca Agreement, which it says will drag the country into war. Speaking at the protest, Ali Ufuk Arikan, member of the TKP Central Committee, recalled the letter the Party had sent to members of parliament and called on them to take a stand: “Go to the parliamentary rostrum and declare: ‘This country does not have a single young person to spare for the occupiers and the killers!’ This is a test of honour. You may fail that test of honour, but you will see: the people of this country will pass it with their heads held high!”

🔴Open letter to MPs on the Mecca Agreement submitted to Parliament On 20 October 2026, the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement, signed by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan on 7 August, was submitted to the Turkish Parliament for ratification. The agreement provides for mutual military assistance in the event of an attack on any of its signatories. Its submission comes as Saudi Arabia continues its military intervention in Yemen, raising concerns that Turkey could be drawn into a war resulting from Saudi Arabia's intervention. The following open letter issued by the Central Committee of Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) addresses members of the Turkish Parliament ahead of the ratification process. The Mecca Agreement signed between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey has brought our country to the brink of military conflict. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, one of the staunchest supporters of US and Israeli aggression in the region, particularly against Iran, is now preparing to draw our country into its ongoing war in Yemen through this agreement. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan recently announced that the agreement would be brought before Parliament and that the necessary preparations had been completed for a related parliamentary motion authorizing military action. The Minister's insistence from the outset on presenting the agreement as "defensive cooperation, not offensive cooperation" stems from his awareness that our people would never consent to Turkey's involvement in such a conflict. Serving as a crutch for an oil-rich monarchy in the interests of Israel and the United States is in no way in the interests of our people. Parliament is now being pressured to approve Turkey's entry into an unjust war. As you approach a vote with grave implications for the safety of our people and the future of our country, we wish to remind you, the members of Parliament, of the responsibility that comes with the seats you occupy. If you approve the agreement that will be placed before you, and Turkey consequently becomes openly involved in the ongoing war in Yemen on the basis of that approval, you will bear a responsibility that will haunt you, both morally and historically. Know that this will go down as one of the greatest betrayals in our country's history, and that it will certainly have consequences. We warn you: do not be eager for war. Otherwise, just as in the Korean War, you will bear responsibility for the deaths of our sons, this time in Yemen, sacrificed not for the interests of our country but for the designs of imperialist powers. Working people across the country are struggling with poverty. Theft, corruption, drugs and economic crisis are ravaging the country. Do not let the adventure in Yemen into which you would drag our country go down in history as your greatest crime. Use your political will to secure Turkey's withdrawal from the Mecca Agreement. The AKP government is throwing the country into the fire. Do not become complicit in this crime. tkp.org.tr/en/agenda/open-le…

To the leadership of Communist Party of Netherlands (@cpn_nl) Dear comrades, We were saddened to learn of the passing of comrade Rinze Visser, who, for more than six decades, devoted his life to the communist movement in the Netherlands, remaining loyal to the cause of socialism and the working class. Even through the difficult decades of retreat and counter-revolution, he never wavered in his convictions or abandoned the struggle to which he had dedicated his life. His life and struggle are part of the history of the communist movement in Europe, and his unwavering commitment will remain an inspiration to future generations of communists. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, comrades and the Communist Party of the Netherlands. His memory will live on in our common struggle. TKP delegation was at the event hosted by the KKE in Alexandroupolis on October 18, under the slogan “Friendship and common struggle of the peoples against exploitation, capitalist competition and war! Socialism is the real way forward for the peoples!” Eliseos Vagenas, member of the KKE Central Committee and Head of its International Relations Section, and Murat Akad, member of the TKP Party Council, addressed the event. The event reaffirmed the two parties' determination to struggle together against imperialism, nationalism and war, and called for stronger friendship and solidarity between the working people of Turkey and Greece. The European Communist Action commemorates the 90th anniversary of the founding of the International Brigadesandthe heroic sacrifice of thousands of working men and women who left behind theirown countries, theirjobs, their families and their homes to fight fascism in Spain, whilst many of the Communist Parties to which they belonged were operating in clandestinity. Their courage remains a point of reference for the struggle of the working class to this day, and their experience also offers valuable political lessons that we must not forget. On 14th October 1936, the first international brigadists arrived in Albacete. The arrival of the brigadists in Spain is one of the clearest historical examples of proletarian internationalism, brought about through the political and organisational initiative of Communist Parties from around the world. It must be emphasised that the Soviet Union was the main supplier of arms to Republican Spain and, without a doubt, the driving force behind the internationalist aid that reached the Spanish people from every corner of the globe throughout the war. The International Brigades came into being as a result of the decision taken by the Executive Committee of the Communist International on 18th September 1936. An international recruitment centre was immediately established in Paris, in which the French Communist Party (PCF) and the Italian Communist Party (PCI), then in exile, played a fundamental organisational role. Over the course of the war, as many as 35,000 workers from more than 53 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa went to spain. Some were unable to return to their homes, facing repression in the workplace, administrative difficulties and even imprisonment. During the war against fascism in Spain, the International Brigades took part in decisive battles such as Madrid, Guadalajara, Belchite, Teruel, Caspe and the Ebro. In each of these battles, they left an indelible mark, as well as an example of selflessness and sacrifice. The role of the International Brigades in the war in Spain reminds us that, when confronted by a powerful enemy, sometimes even a stronger one, victory can be achieved through the mobilisation of the forces of the working class and its spirit of sacrifice. At the Battle of Guadalajara, the fascists’ initial material superiority—with more artillery, more machine guns, more vehicles and more motorised units than the antifascists—was overcome by the heroic resistance of the working class. The International Brigades played an important role in that battle, which clearly demonstrated the international character of the war. There, the fascist units of Mussolini’s Corpo Truppe Volontario came face to face with the Italian brigadists of the Garibaldi Battalion of the XII International Brigade. After the war, the brigadists had to face the harsh consequences of defeat, just as Spanish workers did. Some were confined in the brutal Spanish concentration camps, where they were subjected to degrading conditions and torture. Others were summarily executed. Some brigadists were also deported to the infamous Nazi concentration camps. Most of them died in captivity. The withdrawal of the International Brigades from the war against fascism in Spain must be a subject of analysis for the Communist and Workers’ Parties. Despite the prominent role played by the brigadists in the war, numerous forces within the Republican camp sought at every turn to limit their capabilities out of fear of the Communist International. One example was Indalecio Prieto’s attempts to weaken the Brigades organisationally, particularly after the Battle of Belchite. In May 1938, the President of the Republican Government, Juan Negrín, published his famous “Thirteen Points”. In these “Thirteen Points”, Negrín called for conciliation with the democratic bourgeois governments. He sought to defeat fascism through international action, disregarding the bourgeois class character of fascism. In October of that year, Negrín announced before the League of Nations the unilateral withdrawal of the International Brigades from Spain. He hoped that the governments of the bourgeois democracies would then demand the withdrawal of the invading forces of the fascist countries. He disregarded the fact that the democracies had already made it clear through their policy of 'Non-Intervention' that the fundamental contradiction was not between 'democracy' and 'fascism', but between the class interests of the bourgeoisie and those of the working class. In particular, the bourgeois governments of the United Kingdom and France did not demand that the fascist countries withdraw their troops from Spain. Furthermore, one week later, on 30 September, they signed the Munich Agreement with Hitler, which permitted the invasion of part of Czechoslovakia. The experience of the International Brigades therefore leaves us valuable lessons for the struggle today. It teaches us that both bourgeois democracy and fascism are forms of managing a rotten, exploitative system. They both have the same class character: they support the profits of big capital and run counter to the interests of the working class. It teaches us that the essence of the anti-fascist struggle is the anti-capitalist struggle, because only the working class can wage a consistent struggle against fascism by fighting the system that gives rise to and sustains it: capitalism. Fascist, far-right forces were, and remain today – as recent developments confirm – a valuable reserve for the bourgeois management of capitalist barbarism, and a necessary weapon for every bourgeoisie to intensify repression against the class-based labour movement, and to promote the ahistorical theoryof the‘two extremes’ and anti-communism. The history and contribution of the International Brigades teach us that workers from different countries, despite speaking different languages, express their internationalist solidarity even with weapons in hand, fighting alongside other peoples, defend the same class interests and constitute a single force. Examining the experience in Spain and other countries reveals that the decisive factor in the communists' struggle as the vanguard of the class struggle is developing a revolutionary strategy. This is in opposition to the corrosive role of opportunism and social democracy. The strategy must not attempt to restore the functions of the capitalist system, but instead turn against it in order to overthrow it. This will allow the working class to seize power and establish socialism. On 28th October 1938, the International Brigades bid farewell to Spain in a moving ceremony in Barcelona. The farewell words of Dolores Ibárruri, La Pasionaria, the historic Spanish communist leader, still echo in our ears: “When the olive tree of peace blossoms, return to our side. Here, those of you who have no homeland will find a homeland; those of you who have had to live deprived of friendship will find friends; and all of you, all of you, will find the affection and gratitude of the entire Spanish people (...)” Long live the International Brigades! Long live proletarian internationalism! eurcomact.org/m-article/Stat…

The following is TKP's message to the CPI(M) regarding the police attack and detentions that the CPI(M) experienced on Saturday. @cpimspeak To the leadership of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Dear comrades, We express our solidarity with the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in the face of the recent police repression and violent detentions targeting your General Secretary, Comrade M.A. Baby, other communist leaders and protesters. The deepening crisis of capitalism worldwide, coupled with the declining credibility and persuasive power of the capitalist class and its political representatives, is driving them to intensify their attacks on the working class and communists, as exemplified by the reactionary BJP government in India. The assault on the right to vote and stand for election, accompanied by police violence against those defending these rights, is another manifestation of this aggression. We salute your Party's determined struggle to defend electoral rights and ensure the integrity of the electoral process. We are fully confident that your steadfast resistance will succeed in defeating these attacks. Please convey our warmest comradely greetings and solidarity to all members of your Party and to those taking part in this struggle. With comradeship and solidarity, TKP Central Committee
