Here’s a thought… Thanks @Timodc for another riveting conversation. 😆
.@MichaelSteele unloads on Republicans suddenly second-guessing Trump after the midterm wipeout, warning they can’t spend a decade enabling him and then pretend they had nothing to do with it: “Shut the fuck up; I don’t want to hear that shit from you.”

When Republicans attacked the immigrant community in California, Latino voters turned the state blue. And it has stayed blue to this day. Tonight, Latino voters in Texas said no to the same attacks — and they turned that state blue as well.

For the first time in more than 15 years, Wisconsin Democrats will control the governor’s office and both chambers of the Legislature. After a decade of gerrymandered gridlock, Wisconsin finally has a government that reflects the will of its voters.

History has been made in the U.S. Virgin Islands! Stacey Plaskett has been elected governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands, becoming the first Black woman elected governor of any U.S. state or territory. She will also become the first woman elected to lead the territory in more than five decades. Since 2015, Plaskett has represented the Virgin Islands in Congress, making history as the first territorial delegate appointed to the House Ways and Means Committee. She also served as an impeachment manager during Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial in 2021. Congratulations to Governor-elect Stacey Plaskett and Lieutenant Governor-elect Milton Potter!

Maine, you deserve better. Now is your chance to send someone who fights for you to Washington. @TroyJackson207 is a fifth-generation logger who knows working families' struggles. As Maine’s Senate President, he fought to raise wages, lower the cost of prescription drugs, and provide free lunch to every student in the state.  So get out and vote on November 3! Find out all you need at jacksonformaine.com/vote.

Thus is ACTUAL political persecution. If you can help her please do. I guarantee you all she didn’t commit a crime and is an American citizen. Trump had been trying to bring her down for a decade. I know because I was once, unknowingly a part of a plot to do just that.

I am appalled that Brad Lander, the Democratic nominee for NY-10, was detained by the IDF in the West Bank alongside rabbis and other activists in the annual olive harvest. It is a stark reminder of the abuses Palestinians face on a near daily basis doing even the simplest of tasks, like harvesting olives on the land their families have cultivated for centuries. Next Congress, Democrats must pass the Stop Settlements Act to demand our government use its leverage to bring the illegal settlement movement to an end.

If this woman were black, the whole conversation would be about DEI. Funny how when white employees fail, nobody mentions THEIR race or ethnicity. And yet — how much of Trump’s administration is just affirmative action for nice-looking white people?

AMAZING! Republican election officials denied NC A&T campus an early-voting site. Students marched about 45 minutes each way to vote ANYWAY! Put up barriers to voting, and don’t be surprised when people get angry, get organized, and bring even MORE voters to the polls!
