UK State propaganda attacks on Scotland are relentless, blatant and sickening. They are working flat out to brainwash us into believing that we are a uniquely incapable small country. Don’t grow old regretting that you failed your children and grandchildren. #ScottishIndependence
Scottish political journalism is now effectively professional Unionism. In short, hacks and reporters might not be Unionists, they just have to push whatever agenda Unionism requires at any given time in order to be successful. In many cases their career depends on it.

Today's #UKBudget announcement by Chancellor @JohnHealey_MP, "is a disappointing blow to the Scotch Whisky sector, its supply chain and the local communities it supports," writes our Chief Executive @MarkAGKent 🥃🗣️ In a statement, he said: “We’ve repeatedly warned that increasing the spirits super tax will not only pile further costs on distillers, but will harm the supply chain too and reduce Treasury revenue. Nobody wins when hard-pressed businesses are taxed to the hilt." Today's budget announcement means that £12.84 of the average price of a bottle of Scotch Whisky will now be taken in tax, including £9.95 in excise duty on every bottle. 🔗 Read Mark Kent's full reactive statement on on website: scotch-whisky.org.uk/newsroo…

Feeling quite underwhelmed by #Budget2026 For Scots £200M for Grangemouth already cancelled. Today £200M for the Acorn Carbon Capture project cancelled. We really get nothing back for our industries, for all the energy we provide to rUK. A spit in the wind for pensioners help

Peanuts!! They’ve just commissioned a gas field in our seas which will rake in £2.9b. Will this £600m include the £200m for Grangemouth. 🤣🤣 Why are we letting another country decide how much of our money they think we are entitled to? Why? It’s fucking criminal!

Here we have Harriet Cross from Yorkshire but representing Gordon and Buchan asking for WM to not give Scotland any more powers to govern itself. Are the voters of Gordon and Buchan happy to be represented by this cuckoo?

When Labour came to power, the price cap was £1,414 and they promised to cut bills by £300. Now, new EDF forecasts show the price cap hitting £2,389 in April – £1,275 higher than promised. Only with independence, can we cut bills and build a better fairer future for Scotland.

English Tory MP standing there demanding Scotland gets no more powers over itself. She works in the interests of England not Scotland

Anyone else sick to their back teeth of this poisonous anti Scottish outfit @BBCRadioScot @BBCScotlandNews
Classic BBC Radio Scotland 'interview ' with our First Minister on his business trip to India.."did you fly business class, how many people flew with you, were they in business class, how much did the trip cost" etc.etc. lmagine the Prime Minister being asked such questions.

A new nuclear power station in England has been branded a "terrible deal" for taxpayers. Sizewell C was supposed to cost £20bn. It's now expected to cost between £40.5bn and £47.7bn, with construction finishing between 2039 and 2043. Ferries anyone? bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cw0k…

Two days after this news broke Michael Marra demanded Rosebank be approved. What's worse is that BBC Scotland ran Marra's sham demand as a *genuine* news story.
🚨 NEW: Andy Burnham and John Healey are set to force the approval of Rosebank despite the Energy Secretary's reluctance Minister: "Both Andy and John have decided Rosebank needs to go ahead. The economic and energy security case is so strong" [@DPJHodges]

Genuine question. Does BBC Scotland have an editor or reporter capable of understanding the complexities and detail of the budget? We can't think of a single person left at the station who is up to the task.

We suspect there will be a broadly neutral impact on the average gas bill in Scotland if standing charges are scrapped and the cost added to a unit. It will make a marginal difference either way if the unit price increases by around 1p. So, no help at all with Scottish bills.

The SNP and Greens should be on this as should Energy Groups and charities in Scotland. If our rough calculations are correct then Scottish households face a HUGE rise for energy in January with zero help from the Labour Govt.
