Pleased to join Laurentian University’s Minerals and Mining Strategic Plan Implementation Forum today in Sudbury to bring together government, industry, researchers and educators.
Ontario’s mining sector already supports 150,000 direct and indirect jobs and contributes $14.4 billion to provincial GDP annually. We are building on that strength by unlocking opportunities like the Ring of Fire, which could create more than 70,000 jobs and add $22 billion to Ontario’s economy. ⛏️🇨🇦

The proposed Northern Shield Energy Corridor would connect Alberta energy to Ontario through a new 3,300 km pipeline, built with Canadian steel by Canadian workers.
More Canadian energy. More Canadian jobs. A stronger, more sovereign Canada.
