This man is so wonderful! Amazing moral clarity
I've been in politics for a quarter century. It's hard to express how staggering it is to see a conversation like this on corporate US media. The Morning Joe panel gobsmacked by the directness of @AbdulElSayed's points.

If journalists like Courtney weren’t reporting from Lebanon we wouldn’t know that Israel is still killing people and demolishing homes.
Because legacy media doesn’t care.

Palestinians have a legal right under the Geneva Convention to resist illegal occupation. But imperial Israel and the US gov refuse to recognize the Geneva Convention as applying to the Palestinians. This sets them up to have no rights while Israel has no limits. Raw evil.
⚡️ Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to demolish an entire Hebron neighborhood, expel its residents and build "more and more settlements" after two Israeli soldiers were killed in a shooting near the illegally occupied West Bank city on Friday.
Two Palestinian gunmen opened fire at a junction outside Hebron, killing a staff sergeant and a sergeant, before Israeli forces killed them. Palestinian media identified them as Hamouda Jaaba and Firas Jaaba, both 27, from Hebron. Netanyahu blamed Hamas but offered no evidence beyond ammunition the army said it found in their car.
"Our first step will be to demolish this site and completely transform it," Netanyahu said, adding Israel is "building and arranging over 100 new settlements." Israeli forces sealed off Hebron, the largest city in the West Bank, and arrested dozens as Netanyahu ordered preparations for a full closure of the entire West Bank – applying to Palestinians only, with Israeli roads staying open to settlers.
The news comes just five days before Israel's elections, with Netanyahu trailing in the polls.

In retaliation for the attack in Hebron, the IDF done the following:
1) Ethnically cleansed the neighborhoods of al-Jalda and Ein Dir Baha in western Hebron. Well over 20,000 people in total were told to leave their homes with no date of return. Demolitions in the area have already begun. They have nowehere to go and will have nowehere to return to.
2) They cordoned off Hebron, a city of more than 200,000. He also announced a siege on Hebron and Halhul. It is worth noting that the Hebron governorate was already in dire economic straits, with five of seven entrances closed to a region where over 1 million Palestinians live.
3) Launched a military operation which will last a few days. Netanyahu has warned that a military operation, "the largest in teh West Bank since teh Six Day War" is being consdiered as well.
This is, of course, collective punishment which is a war crime. They are attacking the entire clan from which the attackers came from. All this without trial and without right of appeal. Once settlers moved into Hebron in the 1980s it was always going to end like this. The complete ethnic cleansing of this historic city is just a matter of time.

Alonso, why do you continue playing dumb? Targeting children, would mean the child was THE target, simply because of who the child was. Children dying in a warzone is just a fact of life, children dying in a strike that targets a terrorist, isn't targeting children, and you know it. And nobody is "terrified" about the Myanmar case. What we aren't staying silent about is the fact that the case doesn't require a single change in the law to find them guilty and the only reason to change it would be for political agendas, not justice or law.

Benjamin Netanyahu, declared today that he is planning to carry out the ethnic cleansing of entire neighborhoods in Hebron. His declaration represents an alarming escalation in Israel’s policies of forced displacement and a flagrant violation of international law and the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people. It must be unequivocally condemned, and the international community must act immediately to prevent the forcible displacement of Palestinian residents and hold those responsible accountable.

ffs… he *is* applying the only reasonable inference test… this is what Britain, France, Denmark, Germany, Canada and the Netherlands said on targeting children and ORI intent.
This is why they are terrified of the Myanmar case. They already said this… can’t take it back
"we could not come to any other conclusion"
Well, it's pretty hard to come to any other "conclusion" when, from the very start, you don't even pretend to consider whether any other conclusion could follow from the evidence.
So what if the "only reasonable inference" standard requires you to examine and rule out other reasonable explanations for the observed outcomes or pattern of conduct before claiming that genocide is the only reasonable inference?
When your "conclusion" is predetermined, those pesky little legal standards are just an inconvenience to be tossed aside.

In the Myanmar genocide case currently before the ICJ, Britain, France, Denmark, Germany, Canada and the Netherlands said that targeting children was indicative of genocidal intent. None of them have commented on Israel’s targeting of children, on which the UN commission reported. But the issue will come back to bite them.

Eccone alcuni estratti.
«Sparate a chiunque vediate»
Ho pensato immediatamente a Srebrenica.
E io ho pensato: “Siamo stati noi”».
Scudi umani
Durante queste missioni erano costretti a indossare uniformi militari israeliane e telecamere GoPro». Spesso venivano uccisi.
«Incriminazione retroattiva»
All’inizio ci veniva detto di distruggere singoli edifici.
