We just hired our 2nd eng.
Shmood now has alumni from Apple, Google, Cornell, Duke, and Palantir.
We are a bunch of left and right brainers with amazing technical abilities and good taste (and style). BUT the most important thing about this team is the deep empathy we have for creatives. We genuinely care (and are also building for ourselves) — and that is what drives our speed of learning, iteration, and innovation.
I have never experienced such electric customer and team calls — waking up and working with THIS team on Shmood FOR our users feels like a dream.
We might not be what you think of when you think of a B2B saas company, but that is exactly why we will win.

My favorite kind of texts to get.
Has been a grind of a weekend at @tryshmood, but people randomly texting me about the bad design feedback they are getting makes it all worth it. Reminds me how frustrating it is, and how cool of a problem it is to be solving.
RT @malvikajain_: Don't listen to your users.

Start off with understanding the 'why' of your client. Be collaborative and don't be afraid to show your scribbles and process. Clients want to feel involved.
This week we spoke with Jamie Holden. He is the co-founder of Lab215 (lab215.com). He transitioned from studying film to pursuing a career in graphic design and marketing.

Want to grow a community to +13k, start your own agency, and get named-dropped by Adobe?
Follow necessity and adapt to the market.
This week we spoke to Aseil Amgheib (ig: designwolfldn) who went from studying interior architecture to starting her own design agency and growing a community of 13K+ during the pandemic. This year, she was also featured in Adobe's opening keynote in the UK.
Here are our 6 key takeaways:
1. Know what you are good at (and have confidence in your skills).
2. Quickly learn what you don't know.
3. Presentation and communication is key — in both schooling and industry.
4. Be bold — take risks.
5. Turn hardships and roadblocks into opportunities.
6. Put yourself out there.
