Once when I was a judge in the Supreme Court the senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani, who was then about 85 years old, was sitting on a chair in the front row of the seats for lawyers in court, waiting for his case to be taken up.
The lawyer who was arguing was appearing for a person convicted for rape. He argued that his client was about 70 years old when the incident allegedly occurred, and hence it was impossible to believe that he could commit rape.
At this I observed that when I was a junior lawyer in the Allahabad High Court I asked a very senior criminal lawyer of the court, Mr. P.C. Chaturvedi, as to at what age does the sex instinct die out in a man. He replied " Any time between 30 and 80 ".
Having related this, I waved my hand towards Mr. Jethmalani ( who was reputed to be a ladies' man ) and said " And here is Mr. Ram Jethmalani, who has vast experience in these matters ".
At this, Mr Jethmalani rose, came forward with his head down, and said sheepishly " I plead guilty My Lord "

Goddess Kamalamba of Thiruvarur occupies a unique place in the Shakta tradition and Sri Vidya Upasana. Enshrined in a separate shrine within the magnificent Thyagaraja temple complex, Kamalamba is worshipped as the embodiment of Yoga Shakti. Kamalamba is seated in a distinctive yogic posture, with one leg placed over the other, symbolising her profound meditative state.
During the medieval period, shrines dedicated to the Goddess were often referred to as “Thirukkamakottam” (திருக்காமக்கோட்டம்) in Tamil inscriptions. Interestingly, an inscription at the Thiruvarur temple refers to the shrine of Goddess Kamalamba as “Thirukkamakottamudaiya Periya Nachiyar Kovil” (திருக்காமக்கோட்டமுடைய பெரிய நாச்சியார் கோயில்).
The inscription during the reign of Rajaraja II, made by his minister Vedavanamudaiyan Perumal Nambi Pallavarayan mentions the name of the goddess as “Paraloka Menmozhi Nachiyar”, signifying the Yoga Shakthi manifestation of the goddess Kamalamba.

Warm congratulations to Navi Pillay, the first woman of Indian origin to win the Nobel Peace Prize. Her extraordinary life story belongs to the many-storied, often heroic history of Indian migration: oceans traversed , hardships endured, discrimination confronted and new homelands served with honesty and distinction.
Her Indian inheritance and her South African experience meet in a life devoted to human dignity. Were Gandhiji alive, I believe he would have recognised something deeply familiar in that journey: the struggle against injustice in South Africa becoming a commitment to justice everywhere.
We may not have agreed with all her judgments or positions. That should not diminish our respect for her courage, independence and achievements. She is as much a daughter of India as she is of South Africa. Our national pride should be accommodating enough to embrace her independent conscience.

Tamil Brahmins speak Tamil at home & follow Tamil culture, yet are labelled Aryans and vandheris. Urdu-speaking Muslims speak Urdu at home & follow a foreign religion, yet @arivalayam gng calls them Tamils.
The irony! 🔥🤣
It is surprising that none of the journalists, especially those from national, English newspapers in TN wrote about Navi Pillai’s bold stand against the butchery of SL Tamils by Mahinda Rajapakse. They wrote only about her stand on Palestine and Rwanda. What is their agenda?
Tamil nationalists should consider why you are picking fights with Telugus and Kannadigas when these extremely anti-Tamil Nairs are allowed to live and retire in Tamil Nadu. As one of the primary "administrative castes" of South India and Tamil Nadu these Nairs most likely intentionally setup the conditions for your disagreements with Telugus and Kannadigas.
These Nairs have always hated Tamils and directly sabotaged India's early effort to support Eelam Tamils. They hijacked India's foreign services to become a global pro-Sinhalese, anti-Eelam Tamil machine that orchestrated and provided diplomatic cover for the Sinhalese to commit the Eelam Tamil genocide.

India must be alert: A Colour Revolution is in the making
By Savio Rodrigues, The Sunday Guardian (11–17 October 2026)
The right to protest is fundamental to any democracy. But the Cockroach Janata Party’s campaign against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar deserves closer scrutiny than a routine agitation.
The concern isn’t the protest itself. It’s where this could lead. Rodrigues draws a direct line to Bangladesh in 2024 and Nepal in 2025, where youth-led movements started over specific grievances and ended with governments collapsing. In Bangladesh, quota protests spiralled into a national uprising. The UN put the death toll at around 1,400. Once people start dying, a protest stops being about the original issue and becomes something else entirely.
A few things stand out. Some organisers have already warned of a “civil war-like situation” — framing casualties before they’ve happened. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and others have been detained, which shifts the story from election administration to political crackdown. And any death now would become a symbol before investigators even reach the scene.
To be clear: there’s no verified evidence the organisers want people killed, or that foreign money is behind this. But that’s exactly why the security establishment should be looking. Check the financing. Map the coordination networks. Don’t assume the worst — just don’t assume the best either.
Constitutional stability isn’t negotiable. Young Indians shouldn’t end up as casualties in a crisis someone manufactured on purpose.
