Since Vivek Ramaswamy wants to talk mothers. He and his mother promoted a drug they said helped treat Alzheimer’s when both of them knew the drug had failed clinical trials. Weeks before another failed clinical trial cratered the stock price, Vivek Ramaswamy cashed out.

The American president thinks this is "fine"
A horrific Russian strike in the Kharkiv region. A “shahed” struck people directly – in a park near an ordinary café. Pure atrocity. Six people were killed, including children. A little girl was killed in a stroller – her name was Angelina, she was just over a year old, born in August 2025… Her mother’s name was Inna. She died in the hospital… Another girl who was killed was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people were injured, including six more children. I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine under these circumstances and helps us shoot down “shaheds,” shoot down missiles, and stop Russian assaults. These are horrific photos, but behind them are shattered lives and the truth about this war. Lives must be protected. Ukraine needs air defense. You can't think about making money with Russia as long as it continues its asinine war. We ask that sanctions on Russia stay in place as long as the killings continue. We ask America to be strong, and we ask it to apply the Lindsey Graham law. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask that everything possible be done to bring peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace. It is Russia that has insisted on continuing the killing all this time. The world has enough strength to stop the war. That strength must finally be used – against the murderers.

The Line Has Been Crossed. Act Like It. For ten years Europe has treated Trump's affection for Moscow as a personality quirk, something to be managed with flattery, state dinners and a larger order for American jets. That era of polite self-deception is over. A president who funds the aggressor and starves the victim has answered the question of whose side he is on, and anyone still waiting for more evidence is not being cautious but is simply afraid of the conclusion. Ukraine must plan as though American support is gone and American pressure is coming. Any deal drafted in Washington should be read as a deal drafted in Moscow, and Kyiv has every right to refuse a peace designed by two men who want it to lose. Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand should take no comfort in distance. A president who trades away Ukraine for cheaper diesel will trade away Taiwan for less, and their security guarantees are worth exactly what his word is worth. The democracies of the Pacific and the Atlantic need to bind themselves to each other directly, in arms, intelligence and trade, with Washington outside the room. The playbook already exists, because we wrote it for Russia: reduce exposure, close dependencies, sanction the enablers, and wait for better leadership while preparing for it never to arrive. America may return to us one day. Until then, we treat Trump's United States as what it has chosen to be.

This is completely outrageous and disgusting. This must immediately be blocked by Congress and Trump should be impeached for this. The US is now funding Putin’s war machine as he murders civilians including children. We are lost as a country.

Earth was a gift to humans, filled with trees, fruit, water, animals, and sunshine. However, for some reason, they chose to create racism, capitalism, debt, and war.

For those who don’t know. The @OntarioPCParty allows private for profit clinics to bill OHIP 2-3X what it pays public hospitals to perform the exact same procedures. All while waiting lists get longer and longer. Just a reminder that voting in provincial elections matters.

Ford received approx $29B for #HEALTHCARE for 2026 how much went to #UHS
Ontario’s budgetary watchdog shows @fordnation’s healthcare mismanagement has reached new low: ❌Lowest hospital funding per person in Canada ❌1.9% funding shortfall just to maintain current services ❌2,522 fewer nurses by 2029 ❌2,407 fewer beds by 2029; So this is what it means to Protect Ontario … 🤔

Doug Ford cuts healthcare funding and these are the results.  He's taking Ontario down a path toward privatization. The results are higher costs and worse care for people who depend on our public system.  It's time for this government to stop the cuts and invest in our hospitals.
Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) is cutting 413 jobs, including 143 nurses, to help offset a projected $150 million budget deficit for 2026-27, which reflects a refined estimate of their financial position. chch.com/chch-news/hhs-to-cu…

If provinces are going to allow the insidious destruction of Canada’s universal healthcare then healthcare needs to fall under national jurisdiction. Whenever we put Cons in charge of something it gets destroyed or Americanised with absolutely no benefit or savings for Canadians.

just got off the phone with my university friend. His daughter was diagnosed with leukemia in March. He has insurance. Good insurance. The kind you feel safe having. 5 months later: Savings wiped out. 401k: cashed early. Penalties and all. House: refinanced to cover the gaps insurance decided weren't their problem. He told me he's not the same person anymore. Said watching your child fight for her life while simultaneously fighting an insurance company over coverage codes does something to you that doesn't go away. They did everything right. Two incomes. No debt. Responsible their whole lives. One diagnosis all of it in 7 months. And somewhere a health insurance CEO is getting $35 million bonus this quarter. I don't know how people defend this system with a straight face. i really don't.

Enforce Canada Health Act! Canadian tax dollars are being deliberately misappropriated at provincial and territorial level through underfunding of public healthcare and redirecting federal healthcare funding to create second-tier private for-profit healthcare systems in Canada.
Not all of Canada’s doctors support two-tier profiteer medicine which puts greed and wealth ahead of the public’s health. @OntarioHealthC @HealthCoalition

🦔Turn your sound on for this one. This is what it sounds like to live next to an AI data center, 24 hours a day. In Dowagiac, Michigan, residents sued after a facility run by Hyperscale Data ran around the clock at 78 decibels outside their homes. The company offered to buy their houses rather than fix the noise. One family has lived on that street for nearly a century. My Take This isn't one town with one bad facility. Microsoft faces a class-action in Wisconsin over data center noise residents can hear a mile and a half from the property line. In Virginia, one-third of data centers sit within 200 feet of homes. Noise from thousands of servers can hit 96 decibels, and diesel backup generators reach 105, which is a jet overhead. Residents report headaches, nausea, and sleep problems. Property values near this kind of infrastructure drop up to 20%. The company response in Michigan was to offer to buy the homes rather than quiet the facility, homes that families spent decades in, priced against a corporate buyout. Water in Oregon, wells in Georgia, ratepayer costs in Louisiana, river water in California, and now noise in Michigan and Wisconsin. None of this was in the brochure when these projects got approved. Closed-loop cooling and proper sound barriers exist and would solve most of this, but they cost more, so the companies skip them and the neighbors lose sleep and equity instead. Hedgie🤗

🦔AI companies are bulk-buying rare books, scanning them through high-speed machines that cut the spines off, and shredding the originals. A service called ISBNdb facilitates orders of up to a million books and keeps buyers anonymous. Pre-2022 books are premium because they're free of AI-generated text. A federal judge ruled the practice is fair use because eliminating the original means only one copy exists at a time. Anthropic hired the former head of Google Books partnerships to obtain "all the books in the world." My Take This got to me. A bookseller told 404 Media that rare books with almost no surviving copies are being fed into this pipeline. Books that survived wars, fires, and centuries of handling are being shredded so an AI can learn to write a better marketing email. ISBNdb's website literally says "'AI company destroys two million books' is not a headline that generates sympathy," and they still built an entire business around making it happen quietly. They offer NDAs as a feature. They coach clients to call it "digital preservation." I've covered AI companies scraping the internet, torrenting libraries, and stealing music. This is worse because it's irreversible. You can re-upload a website. You can reprint a bestseller. You can't replace the last three copies of an 18th-century botanical text once someone shreds them for training data. And the judge said it's legal. So it's going to accelerate. "We shred rare books and offer NDAs so nobody finds out" is a legitimate business model in 2026. What a timeline. Hedgie🤗

Seeing one of gods most majestic and divine creatures, fight so valiantly against the destruction and rampaging of his home should do untold psychic damage to your psyche. We should be radicalized by this.
Borneo’s orangutans, Assam’s elephants — wildlife across the world is fighting a losing battle against bulldozers, greed, and habitat destruction. They may fall, but their struggle will remain a painful reminder of humanity’s cruelty towards the planet.
