The biggest issue with Wirtz is that he’s playing in a midfield where every single one of his companions wants his job
Mac wants to be there
Dom wants to be there
Grav wants to be there
Not one of them wants to create from deep or be an enforcer
Thats a massive issue for #LFC

20 losses, £450m spent, most goals conceded for 12 years, 60 points normally gets you 9th, failed to beat any promoted side at Anfield, Refused to look at the Academy, No identity, Boring Football every week, Every player got worse under him? But let’s blame the fans hey ? 😂

Liverpool finish with 60 points. That is less than:
• Every full season of the Klopp era (and level on points with 15/16 where he took over midseason).
• All 3 of Rodgers' seasons in charge.
• Rafa's final season in 09/10.
And only 2 points higher than the Hodgson season.

The truth is that No true Liverpool supporter hates Arne Slot. Is just that for a man who speaks too much to act like he knows the solution to Liverpool's problems he comes up the next game schooled and looks like a fool.
The undermining thing is that when he gives his excuses he then asks the journalist questions like against Chelsea when his team went to sit back after the early opener he responded saying "Do you think I would tell my team to sit back after" man you are paid for this job you sit by the side of the pitch and the whole saw your team go and sit back and if you didn't tell them to you should have told them to attack run out.
Other times he will say "You could see we played well for 20 minutes before we didn't" man a match is 90 minutes. We all admire Klopp and Luis Enrique and these men play kids this man not until the fan base started asking for Rio he probably might have not played him.
Then he looks clueless and does the same things expecting different results. Sit back make 3000 back passes and 5 forward passes and when we conceed okay Chiesa get dressed and come and run at the front.
The Ten Hag allegations he isn't beating them yet. Excuses are too many. How many players improved this season? None
I'm not hopeful, I'm not confident in Arne Slot and I'm scared more money there might be to spend just like Ten Hag spent 600 million pounds plus and didn't fix the problems over there.
So #Slotout Yes for me
We need go energy starting from next season else is same story #YNWA #LFC

Let's call a spade a spade.
Slot won the league in his first season by not changing anything, inheriting a fortress in Anfield & experienced winners.
Since then, he's shown how terrible he really is over 16 months, failing to adapt to the league after implementing his style.

Liverpool keeping Arne Slot after this season isn’t “faith”… it’s pure denial. You don’t spend £400M+ and still look worse in duels, transitions, and game management than mid-table sides. Standards are slipping at Anfield.
And the reasons don’t hold up:
• Jota’s tragic passing is humanly devastating, but football-wise Liverpool still had enough attacking depth to compete at the top. One loss doesn’t explain collapsing structure and game control.
• Salah “decline” narrative doesn’t add up — even in a down year he’s still among Liverpool’s top goal contributors. Elite teams don’t collapse because one winger dips slightly.
• “Too many signings” is the weakest excuse — Arsenal, Man City, even Madrid integrate new cores without losing identity. Liverpool’s issue is system failure, not squad size.
The real numbers tell the story:
Drop in chance creation compared to last season
Higher goals conceded from transitions and set pieces
Win rate vs top-half teams has fallen sharply
Game management consistently costing points after 60’
This isn’t a rebuild problem anymore… it’s a coaching control problem.

David Ornstein’s recent comments are genuinely unbelievable. He said “Liverpool still want to recruit more players for Arne Slot this summer and that only after another transfer window can he perhaps be judged more fairly.”
How much more backing does a manager need?
Liverpool have already spent around £450 million in what was reportedly the biggest transfer window spend in Premier League history. They signed Milos Kerkez after he was arguably the best left back in the Premier League last season. They brought in Alexander Isak, one of the best strikers in world football, who outscored Erling Haaland last season. They signed Florian Wirtz, one of the biggest young talents in world football. They added Hugo Ekitike, who had the third highest goals + assists tally in the Bundesliga last season, and Jeremie Frimpong, an invincible Bundesliga and cup double-winning right back.
And that’s on top of already having players like Virgil van Dijk, Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, Ibrahima Konate, Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo. On paper this is quite easily one of the best squads in world football.
Yet the narrative is still that Slot “needs more time” and “more players” before he can be properly judged.
At what point does accountability actually begin?
Because if a manager needs the best player in the world in every single position before he can produce a functioning team, then what exactly makes him elite? The best managers can deal with injuries, imperfect squads, dips in form and difficult moments. They improve players, create structure and make the team competitive regardless.
And the biggest issue is that after 12 months, there hasn’t even been a single clear sign of progress under Slot. Nothing tactically suggests this project is moving forward. The substitutions continue to make no sense, the intensity has disappeared, the structure looks worse, and there’s absolutely nothing in the eye test that tells fans this will suddenly work if Liverpool keep throwing more money at it.
That’s why the situation with Xabi Alonso feels impossible to ignore. He is literally sitting there available, while Chelsea are pushing to get him. It feels like a perfect match for Liverpool in every way, stylistically, emotionally, culturally, in terms of his connection with the fans and the club itself, his tactical approach and ability to build structured, dominant teams, and the fact he’s one of the best managers in world football.
Liverpool cannot afford to miss that opportunity while continuing to blindly hope this current project eventually clicks despite showing no real signs that it will.

I’ve been genuinely impressed with what FSG have achieved at Liverpool since they took over 16 years ago. They pulled us back from the brink of administration and turned us into one of the best run clubs in world football. They rebuilt Anfield, constructed one of the best training facilities in the Premier League, and brought in a generational manager in Jürgen Klopp who delivered every major trophy and put us firmly back on our fucking perch, both domestically and in Europe.
As Liverpool fans, we should be grateful for everything FSG have done. Their work over the past decade and a half has been transformative. But all that incredible progress risks being undone if they make the biggest fucking mistake of their ownership, sticking with Arne Slot..
There is no way this man can take Liverpool Football Club forward. In just nine months, he has single handedly dismantled one of the fittest, strongest, and most formidable teams in Europe. The man is completely out of his depth, a fraud with no tactical awareness, no fight, and no fucking clue what he’s doing.
It’s painfully obvious in every game. The passion has gone, the intensity has evaporated, and the team looks lost. We’re watching a side that was once a European powerhouse now struggling for top-four football, suffering heavy defeats, and showing none of the identity or hunger that defined us under Klopp.
FSG need to act decisively and start planning for the future without Arne Slot. Keeping him risks throwing away everything we’ve built. Liverpool deserves better, and the fans fucking know it.

Over the two legs of PSG v Liverpool
Mo Salah played the most balls into the box (12), had the highest xA (0.52), 2nd most touches in the box (14), and 3rd most chances created - of all players for both sides.
He played 59 out of a possible 180 mins.

One of the best French investigative journalists Romain Molina says #LFC is planning well for next season with Arne Slot expected to depart & Xabi Alonso the replacement. Also says FSG is also looking at Belgium clubs as part of ownership. They looked at Nantes, Monaco, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Le Mans(L2). It is presently stalled due to worldwide economic state but is still in play.

It’s so incredibly odd to me how disconnected I have become of Liverpool.
Used to plan my whole week around the matches up to last season, even the start of this season.
Now I can’t be bothered.
Only just figured out we’re only playing Tottenham tomorrow.
Can’t be just me?
Arne Slot is an honest human being, no questions there. But his job is to motivate the players even when they are not getting a single minute. And the audacity of him comparing himself to the great german who saved the club from going into administration.
