"Bank de-risking represents a market failure. The ambiguity on the regulatory frameworks enables stakeholders to pass the responsibility to each other but leaves the matter unsolved. The consequences of de-risking are mostly felt by the migrants." @vstudsgaard @IAMTN #eGFRID

The European Union thanks Taiwan for its donation of 5.6 million masks to help fight the #coronavirus. We really appreciate this gesture of solidarity. This global virus outbreak requires international solidarity & cooperation. Acts like this show that we are #StrongerTogether.

In this crisis, greater intervention by the public sector is justified by the emergency for as long as exceptional circumstances persist, but must be provided in a transparent manner and with clear sunset clauses. #IMFBlog ow.ly/XK7450z2je5 #COVID19

For me, this chart is the most alarming of the latest batch. US & UK daily death tolls are accelerating in a straight line on a log scale chart, i.e still increasing exponentially. ~All other countries had begun slowing the rate of increase in deaths by now.
Replying to @jburnmurdoch
Now onto *daily new deaths*: • Daily death tolls flattening in Italy & Spain: each new day brings fewer deaths • But in UK & US the death toll is accelerating. More dead every day than the last, and rate of increase also rising Live charts: ft.com/coronavirus-latest
