There's something really bleak about literal princes campaigning to talk about mental health while NHS mental health services currently consist of telling suicidal people to download an app which is like Uber for mindfulness crossed with Spotify for deep breathing instructions.

I’m sure @grantrobertson1 has envisaged getting up in the house and giving an impassioned speech on inequality many times. But I doubt he ever expected the purpose of that speech to be justifying a wage freeze.

I had honestly forgot the fawning international articles about how we’d solved capitalism, the self-congratulatory speech from jacinda at Davos, the living standards framework. The “well-being” approach may well prove to be a perfect analogy for the legacy of the 6th labour govt.
Sadly, "Wellbeing" appears to be joining other key terms like "transformational", "KiwiBuild", and "kindness" in the Government's list of not-to-be-uttered, embarrassing words. I've commented on this here: bit.ly/WellbeingAxed
