We need to be loud with this. We went to those polls on a mission - a mission BOTH Jeffries and Schumer failed. We do NOT want them back in leadership. They are NOT the men for that job in these times.
After Hakeem Jeffries’ private meeting with Jared Kushner, I no longer support him becoming Speaker of the House. Democrats need a new generation of leadership, not more of the same Washington establishment. A change in majority should mean a change in direction.

So don't catch and spread diseases that steal your ability to walk.
Walking = Dementia killer A UK Biobank study of 78,430 adults found that just 3,826 steps a day was linked to a 25% lower risk of dementia. At 9,826 steps a day, the risk was 51% lower. But step count is only half the story. Speed matters too. Those who walked at a peak pace of 112 steps a minute had a 62% lower risk. This was an observational study, so it can't prove causation. But the dose-response pattern, with more steps and faster steps both tracking with lower risk, strengthens the case that walking plays a protective role. The likely mechanisms are well established: → Higher BDNF, supporting neurogenesis in the hippocampus (one of the first regions hit in dementia), plasticity and the survival of existing neurons → Better blood flow to the brain, delivering more oxygen and nutrients (reduced cerebral blood flow is an early feature of dementia) → Improved mitochondrial function, especially with brisker walking, giving neurons the energy they need while limiting ROS build-up → Better glymphatic clearance, lower brain insulin resistance, less neuroinflammation and lower stress Think you're too busy to walk? Reframe your day. Take your calls and meetings on foot. PMID: 36066874

The game isn't the same any more. We're in a new era. Constant fast worldwide travel. Unfiltered nearly sealed indoor spaces. Reliance on treatment instead of prevention. Rising number of circulating pathogens. Rising number of infections. It's too much for your immune system to handle.

The biggest mistake Dems can make in the next two years is deluding themselves into believing that this was an embrace of the party, and not a rejection of Trump and MAGA governance. Voters are screaming at you the point by point list of what they want.

"I don't understand why they're pushing AI so hard when we can all see it's making everything worse." That's because it's not being marketed to you; it's being marketed to governments and plutocrats. They're the real target audience for these products, not you. You are not receiving the real sales pitch for AI, because the real sales pitch would not appeal to your sensibilities. The real sales pitch for AI isn't "Hey check out this product, it makes some web searches slightly easier and it can maybe write your emails for you." The real sales pitch for AI is "This product allows you to surveil the entire population of your country. It can be built into autonomous surveillance drones and killing machines. It can allow you to monitor and control every aspect of your society. It can reverse the decentralization of information brought on by the internet age. It can take away the collective bargaining power of workers and give you the skilled services your company requires. It can nullify strikes, civil disobedience, and even full-scale revolutions, and lock humanity into your capitalist dystopia forever." That's the real sales pitch. It doesn't sound appealing to any normal person, but it makes sense when you remember who these technologies are really being sold to, and why.

Hakeem Jeffries on Morning Joe: The American people don't want us to get even. They want us to get things done on their behalf because life is way too expensive. We ran on affordability, we won on affordability, and now it's our job to govern on affordability.

The ICE agents that killed Alex Pretti and Renee Good are still actively working today. This blue wave is simply a mirage if figures in ICE, DOGE, Hegseth and co. aren't criminally punished and dismantled.

There are lots of things Dems must do. Here's one: Denazification It’s unconscionable that Dems have spent YEARS feeding billions of dollars to a Nazi who spends half his time lying about “white genocide” and the other half funding efforts to end democracy here and abroad (1/6)

Letting Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, and Nancy Pelosi back in charge is like signing up for Trump 3.0. These three are famous for being Israel first, corporate bought, and insider trading. Which is why we got what we got in 2024.

Haven’t heard a word about any of this on the BBC, NYT, FT etc. Torture blacksites run by neo Nazis. The whistleblower who exposed it being brought up on charges. But of course this is all about defending “democracy”
BREAKING: Valentina, the nurse who exposed the secret prisons in Ukraine where mobilized men are tortured, has been officially brought before a court.
