👀 Looks as if some Louisiana followers didn’t like my @Lane_Kiffin 🚂 thoughts on @WWLAMFM with @BobbyHebert3 and @MikeDetillier the other night. Couple things, 1) I don’t give …t where Lane Coaches. He’s matured in many ways from the Lane that NFL guru @PatKirwan_NFL introduced me to to when he was hired @Vol_Football in 09’. 2) I too have made some decisions that affected my career negatively. So kinda been there. 3)I’ve covered CFB Nationally since 1985 and whatever History fans think 🤔 is in play? “Ole Miss hasn’t won a title since segregation!@ Etc. @BobbyHebert3 brought that up and I get it, but that’s ancient history. The rules and the landscape is far different now. What hasn’t changed is the players PLAY. Not the coaches. Those guys asked my opinion on WWL and I gave it to them. I’m from Louisiana and I’m proud to say that, and always have been. However, in my business fandom’s NOT ALLOWED, and that’s one of the media’s biggest problems today. The inability to separate yourself and your background from covering the sport (your team)competes in! If Kiffin’s headed to @LSUfootball or @GatorsFB he’ll be a HUGE story. However, at either place it’s conceivable that he may never be on the precipice of where he is right now @OleMissFB! Simple as that. He’s stolen the limelight from his players already, and maybe that’s the plan. In either case I wish him
