All Deliveristas deserve a minimum pay. The best way for New York to honor us as essential workers is by delivering a minimum pay now. We can’t wait any more.
Today @doordash deactivates many of my colleagues and close their accounts without a pay. While the apps make billions, we keep relying on tip as the only form of pay for our essential work.

Incredibly grateful to my union for this award, which was for being part of the fight to stop the Seattle city council from cutting drivers pay. I absolutely was not alone in this, and grateful to @DriversUnionWA and everything @workingwa has done to keep PayUp alive!

Delivery apps use fees as political advertising. They price gouge, then label the exorbitant fees in a way that blames minimum wage laws.
Where's the 'Stock Buyback Fee' or 'Executive Yacht Fee'?
Here's my @MorePerfectUS video on this from last week:
DoorDash has to recoup the **$1.5 million** it has spent in failed lobbying against gig workers' minimum wage, so it's gotta gouge customers to foot the bill?
The $1.5 million the company has spent would've saved 304,420 customers $5 junk fees.🧵⬇️

Replying to @k8riley
@k8riley just to let you know that Michael Wolfe doesn’t represent myself, nor any other gig worker, as he is an executive of Drive Forward, a nonprofit organization funded by Uber. Which makes him have an obvious bias against the betterment of the drivers he supposedly reps.

We're proud to support workers in Seattle who are fighting for fair pay. And we're tired of these companies engaging in lies and unfair competition to turn consumers against workers. That's why we filed an @FTC complaint against @DoorDash + @Uber for illegal junk fees in Seattle.

BREAKING: CM Tanya Woo has been advised to recuse herself from the gig worker minimum wage vote. She's looking for a second opinion, but without her, Council President Nelson may not have a fifth vote to pass her repeal.
