Mics are just the baseline for getting good audio. They are a singular piece of the puzzle.
Buying an SM7B alone won’t get you sounding like your favorite streamer or podcast any more than the Yeti you probably have lying around.
In my opinion, having a high-quality compressor and proper EQ play a far more prominent role in your overall sound than purchasing any of the broadcast-grade microphones available.
If you plan to spend on a great mic, please spend equal time looking at which premium effects you’ll be using in tandem.
