That was the strangest Jay Z show I've seen Seems like the crowd at SoFi was like 60 - 70% casuals? They didn't seem to know the deep cuts and it looked like Jay was speed running thru his set due to the energy Either that or the sound in the stadium just wasn't hittin'

Don C recalls how Ye had sneaker deals with Nike and Louis Vuitton at the same time without either company knowing and says Ye changed sneaker contracts forever. 👟🔥 “Nothing in the Nike contract said we couldn’t do a Louis. Nothing in the Louis contract said we couldn’t do a Nike.” “So many things in culture are because of Kanye West.”

It’s crazy to see the way people can watch one of the most impressive feats in modern technology and their first impression they’ll film for an instagram video is “when would you ever use this” Normies viewing the world with this egocentric attitude that they know more than people who has devoted their entire lives towards a vocation has become one of our most toxic traits as a collective conscious

Dear President Kornbluth and Chairman Gorenberg, Yesterday, as I am sure you are aware, a Boston jury unanimously found that @MIT professor Kristin Knouse defamed David Sabatini, falsely accused him of rape and sexual harassment, and tortuously interfered with his contractual arrangements including his tenure at MIT. MIT and its tenure review committee relied on Professor Knouse’s statements when it took away David’s tenure and terminated him. MIT's policies explicitly prohibit harassment, retaliation, and fabrication of claims. Falsely accusing a colleague of rape and sexual harassment and pushing for his termination under false pretenses are clearly violations of MIT policy. In light of the unanimous findings of the jury after five years of discovery, many legal motions and countermotions by both parties, and a three-week trial in Suffolk County Superior Court in Boston: Is MIT going to take away Knouse’s tenure and terminate her? If not, why not? Is MIT going to restore David’s tenure, and apologize for firing him? If not, why not? In light of what has transpired in this grave miscarriage of justice, MIT has the opportunity and the obligation to right a serious wrong here. At a minimum, the public deserves transparency into what actions MIT is taking in this case as taxpayers are major funders of MIT. Sincerely, Bill Ackman
A civil jury ruled in favor of ex-MIT scientist David Sabatini, who was accused by a younger colleague of inappropriate sexual conduct in his Cambridge research lab, and awarded him $6 million in damages. trib.al/s3v9VIX

Kim Kardashian reflects on her past relationship with Ye, and how he changed her life ❤️‍🩹 “That time in my life was so, so much fun. And so special. It was, like, the normal years, the calm before the storm.” “I realize that he loves, like, a project, right? I think he really fell in love with the idea of me, and the project behind it all. He loves things that maybe aren't cool and 'I'm going to make them cool.'” “Whether it's, like, 'I’m going to stop rapping and do a whole singing album, like 808s [& Heartbreak].'” “And everyone’s like, 'How could you not rap? It's blasphemy!' And then it’s the best album.” “I think he's like, 'Let me be with a reality star. No one respects it. I’m going to show you how cool it is.' He changed my life. He absolutely changed my life.” She also explained how Ye would love to style her, and her openness to learn about high fashion from him: “I just didn’t know anything about high fashion. There were all these fashion books piled up. It was time to get to work and learn. He gave me so much confidence.” (Via The Cut)

On the Cornell case: "We cannot claim to stand for sexual freedom and then recoil in disgust when there’s a possibility that a young woman simply chose to exercise it." —@NikosMohammadi Refreshing to see a college paper demonstrate courage on this issue — proud of my successors at @Sundial_CU.
The “Cornell Seven” is really about liberalism as practiced in the opening decades of the 21st century — celebrating libertine sexuality while infantilizing women. Argue deputy editor Nikos Mohammadi and staff writer Christina Ma. sundial-cu.org/p/the-cornell…

Uh, wut?
It was a Monday evening around dinner time when a text popped up on Jane Doe's cellphone on Oct. 21, 2024, less than 48 hours after a night of excessive drinking, drug use and group sex at the Chi Phi fraternity house on the Cornell University campus. Over 10 days of intermittent texting, in messages obtained by CBS News, Doe told him to not feel shame and asked him to look for earrings she thought she lost that night. cbsn.ws/4B5oIVs

Swizz Beatz shares that the origins of VERZUZ, the popular music battle series he co-created with Timbaland, came from his 2007 Summer Jam battle with Ye at Giants Stadium. 🏟️🔥 “VERZUZ first started 20 years ago. Me versus Kanye West. Giants Stadium, Summer Jam.” “And shout out to Ye for doing that. I reached out to many producers to do it, and Ye was the one that said, ‘Yeah, let’s do it.’”

Kanye’s Nazi era was one of the only truly transgressive pop culture moments in decades Transgression is mass produced now, everything is a safe-horny simulacrum of rule breaking. But Kanye actually broke the rules and people lost their shit, an indicator of artistic genius

My post about France went viral. Thousands of likes. Many Americans told me: "Democrats aren't socialists. America will never be France." I want to answer that seriously, step by step. Start with a simple observation. Look at what has gotten cheaper in America over the last 25 years: TVs, phones, software, clothes, toys. Now look at what has exploded: college tuition, healthcare, childcare, housing. What separates the two lists? The first lives in competitive markets. The second is exactly where government is most involved: subsidies, mandates, licensing, zoning, regulation. College. Washington lends students almost unlimited money. Universities know the money will always come, so they raise tuition and hire more administrators. The student pays the bill for twenty years. More government money, higher prices. Housing. Why can't a nurse buy a home in the city where she works? Not because of capitalism. Because of zoning laws, permits, environmental reviews, years of procedure to build a single building. The most expensive places to live in America are the places where it's hardest to build. When building is nearly illegal, prices explode. Healthcare. The patient almost never sees the price. A third party pays, regulations limit who can compete, and costs climb year after year with no one able to say no. So here is the trap. The problems you suffer from are not the failure of free markets. They are the places where the market has already been replaced by the state. And the solution you're being offered is more of the same. That's the Trojan horse. It always works the same way. A real problem. A generous-sounding promise. A program that makes things worse. Then the failure of that program becomes the argument for the next one. People who lived under communism in Poland learned to recognize the lie and the mask the lie wears. The lie never presents itself as a lie. It presents itself as compassion. In France we are at the end of that road. Debt we can never repay. Young people who can't afford a home. Our best people leaving. And every few years our cities burn. Nobody voted for this. They voted for one more generous promise, fifty years in a row. If you're a Republican, share this with the Democrat in your life. Not to win an argument. To start a conversation. If you're a Democrat, I'm not asking you to switch teams. I'm asking you to look at the pattern. Wherever the state took over, life became unaffordable. Don't fix the failures of government with more government. Stay American. Ask for less state, not more.
I’m French. I want to talk to Americans who are about to vote Democrat. Not to insult you. To warn you. I come from your future. In France we did everything your progressive politicians promise. Free healthcare, free college, generous welfare, strong unions, heavy regulation, high taxes on the rich, a state that takes care of everything. Public spending close to 57% of GDP, one of the highest on the planet. On paper, it’s the dream. Here’s what it looks like from the inside. France hasn’t passed a balanced budget since 1974. Our debt is above 3,300 billion euros. Interest on that debt is becoming one of the biggest items in the national budget. Our hospitals are collapsing despite record funding. Our schools rank lower every year. Young people with degrees can’t afford an apartment in the city they were born in. Our best engineers leave for London, Zurich and San Francisco. And the rich you wanted to tax? They left too, and took the jobs with them. The promise was protection. The result is stagnation. The worst part is that nobody in France voted for decline. Every single step sounded generous, compassionate, reasonable. One more program. One more regulation. One more tax to fund it. Each step alone makes sense. Fifty years of them, and you wake up in a country that can no longer build a nuclear plant on time or keep its streets safe. I love America because it’s the one place on earth where people still believe they can build something from nothing. I came to Silicon Valley as a self-taught kid and it changed my life. That spirit is the most precious thing your country has. Before you vote, ask yourself one question: is the program you’re voting for making America more like America, or more like France? Trust me. You don’t want to be France.
