The Terafab project is going well
STRONG SIGNAL 🚨 Terafab is moving forward at lightning speed because the engineers themselves have the authority to make decisions 🔥 According to Korea’s The Elec, a Korean supplier executive said that even questions sent during the early morning hours in the US get answered within 30 minutes to an hour. In his view, working with Terafab is completely different from dealing with conventional semiconductor customers. An executive at an overseas equipment maker went even further: “I’ve never seen this level of execution speed in the semiconductor industry.” Building a fab involves countless questions like these, across every tool and material that goes into it. When each one gets a fast answer, the time saved keeps compounding, and that could add up to a serious head start before a single wafer is even processed. The chip industry spent decades perfecting how a fab should run. Terafab is being built by engineers who answer a supplier’s question before the US is even awake and are trusted to decide on the spot, and that may turn out to be the most disruptive process change of all.

Tesla’s Board of Directors has sent a new letter to shareholders: “Dear Tesla Shareholders, We have always set ambitious goals at Tesla. Achieving them requires the right team and the right leadership at both the management and Board levels. At our Annual Meeting on December 3, 2026, our three Class I Directors - Elon Musk, Robyn Denholm and JB Straubel - are up for re election. We have all the building blocks necessary to propel us into our next phase of transformational growth, but we must keep the leadership that has proven key to Tesla's success. We are asking you to vote FOR ALL proposals on this year's ballot - most importantly, the re-election of our three Class I Directors. Thank you for your continued support of Tesla. Sincerely, The Tesla Board of Directors” More info:

🚨 The Tesla retail shareholder letter backing a Tesla/SpaceX merger is headed to the board: 📄9,697 signers and 25.7M shares (~$10B) in just over 2 days. 📈76% of signers own both stocks. The catch: Elon says a deal needs 50% of ALL Tesla shares, and Tesla has 3B+ outstanding.

Regarding a potential $SPCX $TSLA merger, this is an important post to read.
TESLA/SPACEXSI The Special Committees have already been formed. But some don’t understand the ramifications. ♦️Some say the Special Committee has been formed, so do nothing. BUT The Special Committee represents us shareholders. They can guess what we think, OR we could just tell them. Thousands of shareholders chose the latter and signed the Letter to ask for expeditious action. Inaction was costly to Tesla in losing out on xAI, we don’t want that to happen again. ♦️Some assume a deal is a given. Elon Musk specifically said it is not a given on the SpaceX earnings call. ♦️Some debate timing. It is NOW - or NEVER. The special committee was already formed. That ship SAILED. There won’t be special committees again. Failed merger attempts are just that, failed. ♦️Some ask us to dictate terms. Even Elon Musk had to let the normal process work - and can’t dictate terms or timing or share exchange ratios. And he founded both companies. We can’t either. But we can, and did, ask that the ATH, and internal growth & revenue targets for Optimus & CyberCab be considered. ♦️Some say operate separately. BUT The Joint Ventures aren’t meant to be permanent. They are pure bureaucracy, friction and liability. They were a framework that achieved a headstart on what talented engineers from both companies can do together. They are now the unnecessary part to be deleted. Elon Musk doesn’t need to work at all. His time should not be spent in conflict committees. ♦️Some say do nothing. See again: You could let the Board guess, or you could just tell them shareholders are in favor. 50% + 1 of outstanding shareholders is an almost IMPOSSIBLY high bar. Broker non-votes count as NO. Many foreign investors can’t vote. The deal terms HAVE to be extremely compelling to turn undecided investors and institutions into YES VOTES. The Special Committee, and M&A Bankers/Lawyers have a fiduciary duty to gain the best terms they can. A letter doesn’t change a share exchange ratio. A letter says that shareholders will mobilize - in the face of an compelling deal -to get over 50% outstanding shares voting in favor and get the deal over the line.

FSD is driving sales at Tesla now. “Significant margin” between demand and production capacity. Hopefully Tesla can ramp up quickly as Elon mentioned in the earnings call. $TSLA
JUST IN: Elon Musk reveals Tesla vehicle demand is exceeding production by a “significant margin,” driven by surging interest in Full Self-Driving technology.

We are launching the Tesla Robotaxi safety report today. Till date, Robotaxi has driven a total of 3.3 million miles autonomously, and has had zero injuries nor airbag deployments. If the same number of miles were to be manually driven, we should expect roughly 9 injuries to the occupants or other pedestrians and 4 airbag deployments on average. We will continue to transparently share our progress with the public using this page. tesla.com/robotaxi/safety

Here are the most important highlights from @Tesla's Q3 2026 earnings call: • Tesla's 2027 Megapack production capacity is nearly sold out. • Tesla is aiming to produce 5 million vehicles annually by 2030. • Customers are increasingly visiting Tesla showrooms specifically to experience FSD rather than shopping for a particular vehicle model. • Tesla said more than 75% of new North American vehicle deliveries included a paid FSD subscription signup, despite every vehicle already coming with a free one-month trial. • FSD financial disclosure: Tesla plans to disclose additional FSD financial and operating metrics as the business scales, including subscription revenue and churn rates. • Elon said Tesla is hoping for EU-wide FSD approval within a few months and would be surprised if approval takes longer than Q1 2027, although the timing depends on regulators. • Unsupervised FSD for customer vehicles: Tesla expects to enable some customer-owned vehicles to participate in its autonomous Robotaxi network around Q2 2027, subject to fleet-management and geofencing requirements. • Tesla is developing its own AI-based mapping and navigation system that will rely on intelligence gathered from its vehicle fleet rather than traditional third-party mapping systems. The system will support conversational voice commands, personalized routing preferences, improved parking, and more intelligent destination handling. •  Tesla plans to launch Cybercab service in Dallas in November 2026, followed by additional cities. • Tesla plans to progressively extend robotaxi operating hours, with the goal of reaching 24/7 service by the end of 2026. Tesla expects to expand service to highways, higher-speed roads, additional weather conditions, and nighttime operations by the end of 2026. • Elon expects Robotaxi to begin making a noticeable contribution to Tesla's financial results around Q2 2027, potentially becoming a significant business by Q3 or Q4 2027. • Tesla is targeting the first deliveries of Cybercabs to fleet owner customers by the end of 2026, but Elon said the vast majority of Cybercabs will be Tesla-owned and operated as transportation-as-a-service vehicles rather than sold directly to consumers. • Tesla has started early Optimus production. Elon said: "The growth of Optimus is an S curve, but the initial curve is a shallow slope. There's still some things we need to tweak about the design. There's still quite a lot of work to do with the AI in the robot. I would expect that the AI, the electromechanical design, reliability, usage life, expect these issues to be solved by the end of next year." • Elon said most of the equipment for an Optimus production line designed to manufacture approximately 1 million robots annually is already at Fremont. Elon expects it will take at least another year, possibly longer, to reach an annualized production rate of approximately 1 million Optimus robots, equivalent to roughly 20,000 per week. • Elon said Tesla may release a new Optimus V3 demonstration video within one or two months, saying that it should show genuinely AI-driven tasks rather than preprogrammed movements. • Tesla is targeting mid-2027 to integrate its AI5 chip into Optimus. • Management said Optimus production costs are trending toward the expected manufacturing cost of Cybercab, although the robot's design is still being refined. • Tesla hopes to manufacture its first experimental semiconductor chips around May or June 2027. Tesla is targeting useful chip production at volume in Terafab around Q3 2028. • Management expects higher Megapack average selling prices and further improvements in gross margins (currently 33%) as production expands.

I’ve spent a few days thinking about the Tesla Roadster reveal and landed somewhere I haven’t seen much discussion. I’m neither a Tesla fanboy nor a Tesla hater. And I couldn’t care less whether what we saw technically qualifies as a flying car. Three takeaways: (1) The risk of that live demonstration going horribly wrong was real. Almost no CEO would willingly expose their company to that kind of public humiliation for a product with so little financial upside. Elon did. (2) That willingness to attempt the seemingly impossible is what makes Tesla special. It’s also arguably Elon’s greatest contribution to America. He’s helped bring back something we’ve lost. The American spirit of chasing big scary ideas that most people think are impossible. That mindset is spreading across a new generation of founders and its long term impact on America’s future could dwarf anything Tesla ever sells. I think this is deeply underappreciated. (3) Can we just acknowledge how insanely cool that moment was? We’ve reached a strange place culturally where even extraordinary feats of human ingenuity immediately become arguments about why they don’t count. Not everything needs to be a debate. Sometimes we should just be able to stand back together and marvel at what humans are capable of. I’ve been both bullish and critical of Tesla’s ambitions over the years. But watching Elon and his team push the boundaries of what’s possible reminds me why I’m glad we have him. Whether the Roadster ever makes Tesla a dollar or impacts $TSLA stock price is almost beside the point. We need more people willing to risk failure in pursuit of things the rest of us think are impossible. Because when they succeed we all win.
