Well before my fingers start to itch firing off hot takes at @AngieNixon’s past and (potentially) future primary opponents, I’m realizing I haven’t posted since Tuesday, so some thank yous are in order. First, thank you Angie. It’s been an honor working to make history with you.

This is Gary Torgow, chairman of Huntington Bank and on the board of DTE who is handpicked by Jocelyn Benson as one of four people chairing her new leadership council. While Michigan voters sent a clear message to get money out of politics, Benson is bringing them into her inner circle.

As a simple matter of contract law, if you sign a deal and then your financing falls through, that's your problem, not your bank's problem. The US taxpayer doesn't have to be on the hook just because Israel signed weapons contracts they expected us to pay for.
Israel has ordered billions of dollars worth of American military hardware beyond what the U.S. has committed to paying for, illustrating how hard it would be to phase out Washington’s funding for the country. The U.S. has already pledged nearly $7 billion in annual U.S. military aid over the next two years. Beyond 2028, Israel would need approximately $10 billion to pay for outstanding orders as of April 1 By @jmalsin wsj.com/world/middle-east/th… via @WSJ

I remember when we had to protest with over a thousand of his neighbors in front of Chuck Schumer’s home just to convince him to stop approving every single Trump foreign policy appointee he could , including Nikki Haley. And even in second term, @SenSchumer made Democrats approve Marco Rubio. The fact that he wasn’t fired after that in 2017 is a miracle. And keeping him as any leader after he brought us Haley Stevens, abandoned Florida where we could have had a major victory land literally tells foreign countries doing genocide that it’s his “job” to send Israel blank checks for weapons after marching with war criminals on palace is unbelievable. All while his kids and family use his position to take bribes big tech preying on us…

He wrote the Dahiya doctrine: aka disproportionately targeting civilians — what happened there will happen in every village. Gaza lived it. As army chief he oversaw the 2018 fence killings. He urged it on Lebanon in 2026, rejects any Palestinian state, and offers Gaza no future.

In my humble opinion, Democrats should conduct a Congressional inquiry into FDD and its role in making Iran War policy.
Few have done more than Behnam & FDD to manufacture consent for war on Iran & enable impunity for Israel. These stenographers of slaughter never run out of excuses for more bombing & death. That they do so without shame is disgraceful. And so are those who indulge them.

This is incredible. Corbin tried to get Dem pollsters to poll whether Jeffries is vulnerable. When they all told him no because they were afraid of upsetting Jeffries, he just built his own polling in-house. It was more accurate than most of the major A-rated pollsters.

59 years later, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s unfinished journey to Israel finally becomes a reality. ❤️🇮🇱🇺🇲 Today, 500 African American and African Christian leaders arrived in Israel as part of the "Unfinished Business" pilgrimage, an initiative created and led by the BCLCIR. Their vision was to fulfill Dr. King’s dream of bringing African American pastors on a pilgrimage and solidarity trip to the Holy Land. It was a journey MLK planned in 1967, but never got to make. At a time when it proves most costly, these brave leaders came to see Israel for themselves, led by their faith, a deep commitment to the truth, and in service of Black - Jewish community building, a special tradition built by generations of solidarity. As part of their trip, they also honored Israelis whose lives were forever changed by October 7 and by antisemitism, including Elkana Bohbot, who survived 738 days in Hamas captivity. Welcome to Israel. We’re grateful to have you here. 🙏 📷 Alon Spiegel #christiansinisrael #martinlutherkingjr #christianfaith #civilrights #holyland

The DSA had their fun, but the results are clear. Voters do not like your candidates. There is space in America for DSA politicians, but you need to find better faces or better candidates. Don't blame Dems for your failures!!!

Alexander Vindman, who was soundly defeated by Angie Nixon in Florida's Democratic Senate primary in August, tonight on X: "I wish I had chosen to outspend Angie 20, 10, or even 5 to 1 on the primary. I only spend 2:1 on the primary." Nixon beat him by 12 points, and came within 3 points of Sen. Ashley Moody on Tuesday without a dollar from Senate Majority PAC or the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. On Thursday, the Duval native launched the Never Scared PAC to "build the political and economic power of everyday hardworking people" in Florida. @AngieNixon
Now that the midterms are over, let me correct the record.  -I wasn't handpicked by Chuck Schumer. I didn't even talk to the man until after I announced.  I’m not sure exactly what a corporate or establishment Dem is, but I’m pretty sure it’s not a first-time candidate or a career military guy. Call me a moderate, I’ll take it. I always think big, but I don’t let idealism get in the way of getting a job done. I’m practical and would take Medikids and lower age limits for Medicare to expand healthcare and drive down costs over nothing at all. In 2028 after a Dem trifecta, I expect bold moves. -Be an asshole and call me a carpetbagger! So I moved here four years ago, AFTER SERVING IN THE FOR 21 years. I'm here with my family, raising my daughter, and caring for my elderly parents in SoFlo. I decided to run because it was clear that the midterms would trigger a Blue Tsunami, because Trump sucks. And I saw a path to win the general election. I jumped-in to help. Call it a call to serve. Same one from a lifetime of service. Let's just say I was very skeptical, because hey its Florida, but I wasn't going to sit on my ass when the stakes were so high. No I didn’t move to Florida to run for Senate! 🙄 -I have some regrets, but even in losing, I delivered 1.5M to Florida candidates and to races that would have otherwise been left short-changed. I feel that in some small way I pitched in to help break the super majorities in the Florida House and Senate. -I invested 3M in total to campaigns and parties around the country including Iowa, Ohio, Alaska, etc., including in Kansas and South Carolina when few were looking there. -I wish I had chosen to outspend Angie 20, 10, or even 5 to 1 on the primary. I only spend 2:1 on the primary. Obviously a HUGE mistake. I was too focused on defeating Moody and building real democratic power. -Angie was tireless in making her case to primary voters, while I was trying to connect with potential crossover voters without first securing my base.  -I neglected to heed the old maxim always fight and finish the battle in front of you. -I never took a penny from AIPAC. Those claiming otherwise, when they knew better, were playing to the old Jewish dual allegiance troupe.
