@grok why did Flynn lie to Pence and the FBI about what he discussed with the Russians? Why did he plead guilty to lying about what he spoke about with the Russians? Why did Trump fire him?

@grok so Flynn lied to both Pence and the FBI but the interview lacked legitimate basis because so trumps DOJ moved to dismiss? That doesn’t mean that Flynn didn’t like to Pence or the FBI does it? And this was all about Flynn’s conversations with the Russians?
@2Slick so lemme get this straight since @grok is MIA. Trump fired Flynn for lying about his conversations with the Russians, then like 9 months later pleads guilty numerous times to lying to the FBI, then Trump’s DOJ comes in and moves to dismiss the case. Nothing to see here right?
This also changes nothing about how Obama fired him and explained why. Hegseth has fired way way more senior officers and most of the time has not explained why.
It also doesn’t explain why Trump fired him if he did nothing wrong. You haven’t even acknowledged that Trump fired him too. How do you explain that if he was squeaky clean?
@grok also explain why Trump fired Flynn
@grok see my above question
Why did the judge refuse to dismiss? And this is the Trump justice department trying to protect Flynn here right?
@grok So what you’re saying is Flynn admitted under oath to lying to the FBI, but a trial never occurred because Trump pardoned him so there was no determination as to his guilt, right? That’s a different timeline then the one you presented earlier.
@grok So why would Trump have to pardon him if he didn’t commit a crime? And has it been definitely determined whether or not he committed a crime or did Trump’s pardon stop that investigation?
@grok didn’t Flynn admit to lying to the FBI?
@grok so Flynn wasn’t guilty of crimes? His actions in question were totally above board?

No I totally agree with that and said elsewhere that if the Peltola campaign was really behind this it’s one of the dumbest political blunders in recent memory. A really dump ploy that isn’t likely to work. But my point is I just don’t see practically how it makes much if any difference. This ballot doesn’t look confusing to me especially when it’s ranked choice.
I don’t dispute that. My dispute relates to the impact this particular stupid issue is gonna have. Look at the ballot. You really think this is that confusing? It’s probably just as likely people intend to vote for Peltola and tick the box for one of the Sullivans by accident. And regarding the DOJ lawsuit, how would they ever prove any of this? People leaving the booth would think they voted for their candidate. None of it makes sense.
And to be clear if Peltola’s campaign was behind this it’s one of the dumbest political blunders I’ve seen.
He was one of the only generals fired under Obama and the Obama admin thoroughly explained their reasoning, which was legitimate. Hegseth has fired or ended the careers of 70+ general or flag officers.
Then Flynn was fired by Trump and was convicted for lying to the FBI about Russia. This is the guy you’re defending?

Again, you’re assuming that Alaskan voters can’t read, that they don’t engage in ranked choice voting that is the law in their state (or they would rank the Sullivans and notice one says REGISTERED REPUBLICAN - INCUMBENT and the other does not), and that they are completely unaware that this controversy involving two Dan Sullivans is happening in their state when it’s a national top news story.
