So after 2 years, Iโm finally happy in my own body.
Depressed, losing my dad during lockdown, I ended up not going out of the house, drinking lots, eating takeaways daily, the weight soon piled on, along with having a large hernia.
Then in Jan 2024, I stopped drinking, stopped having takeaways, started walking and sticking to a 1200 calorie deficit. Now in July 2026, Iโm finally happy again and feel a lot healthier. Managed to get down to a safe weight to have my hernia operation done in April this year.
It can be done, even when you are at your lowest or think you canโt do itโฆ you can. โค๏ธ
Mealymouthed Burnham said he was going to help pubs. Instead theyโre increasing the minimum wage, business rates will still be higher than they were and now theyโre taxing alcohol more.
The man is a barefaced liar.

When we live in a country where the natives are daily berated by the government, taxed to the hilt, treated like second class citizens and locked up for having a differing opinionโฆ Who on earth would put their life at risk to protect those who canโt stand us?
I did it. I signed up, and they only put me in charge!
(Well, @grok did!)
Amazing work carried out to show what the government doesnโt want us to see.
Imagine celebrating this? Moving the goal posts last minute to win.
๐จ HOLY SMOKES IT ALL MAKES SENSE. 2 hours before poll close, Lula was having a MELTDOWN and crying on national TV worrying that his voters were somehow blocked from the polling places
...so just a couple hours later, JUST IN TIME and RIGHT ON CUE, his former PERSONAL lawyer Supreme Court Justice Cristiano Zanin ordered voting to continue through 7PM, right after pro-Bolsonaro precincts permanently locked their electronic voting machines
Conveniently, that order benefited pro-Lula areas immensely, and he "won" by the end of the night, by a few points ๐ก
THIS RESULT MUST BE THROWN OUT!
There was CLEAR cheating and tampering through this Supreme Court "order."
Oh, and just so we're clear, Brazil's Supreme Court has *NEVER* issued this kind of order before during a presidential election in the electronic voting age.
Brazil MUST BE FREED. ๐ง๐ท๐บ๐ธ
"We are asking the Supreme Court so that it can extend the electoral process so that people who were prevented from voting due to the mayor's mischief...show up to vote."
Cheater.

Exactly thisโฆ An amazing post by Christian. ๐๐ป
My dear Stephen,
How lovely to see you marking the sixtieth. One of the darkest days in our history, etched in the memory of the nation, a community of such strength. All true. And all of it happening to somebody else.
Here is the part your tribute left in the drawer. The tribunal found the Coal Board wholly to blame and said the disaster "could and should have been prevented". The Coal Board then demanded ยฃ250,000 from the disaster fund to clear the tip that killed them. The fund, raised by public donation for the families, handed over ยฃ150,000.
Your party's government applied the pressure, in secret. George Thomas objected, then folded, and leaned on the trustees until they folded too. The Charity Commission sat on its hands. Nobody was prosecuted.
It took thirty years to give it back. In July 1997 Ron Davies, your party's first Welsh Secretary of that spell, returned the ยฃ150,000 without interest and without inflation, and conceded the demand should never have been made.
So yes. Remembering is lovely. Your lot billed the bereaved for clearing the mine's own tip.
Twenty three likes. Five retweets. And looking more like your father every year.
Do carry on, pet.
Shockingโฆ No one voted in favour of this.

What a creepy old manโฆ Then again, it is the BBC.
๐ WTF! 82-year-old BBC World Affairs Editor John Simpson CAUGHT on camera asking presenter Geeta Guru-Murthy for a KISS the moment he thinks the cameras are off!
After wrapping an interview about his 60 years at the BBC, Simpson can be heard saying: โI couldnโt, I suppose, have a kiss?โ
She agrees, the kiss is clearly audible, and he adds: โThank you so much, really lovely.โ
She then realises theyโre still LIVE and scrambles back, laughing nervously: โSorry! Sorry! We are still on airโฆ I hadnโt realised that.โ
An 82-year-old senior BBC journalist casually asking a younger female colleague for a kiss the second he thinks no oneโs watching. This is the organisation that lectures the rest of the country on standards and behaviour.
Another example of the culture inside the BBC, and yet they still demand the licence fee while trying to extend it to streaming. Scrap it!
Is this some form of incitement? Especially with whatโs been going on in France today, and the past few weeks. xitter.cf/jdaviesphd/status/2111โฆ
