The mayors of Ontario’s big cities are unanimously calling on @JustinTrudeau and @FP_Champagne to reverse the #CRTC’S disastrous recent decision on wholesale rates, which is causing Canadians’ internet bills to climb. Kudos to the mayors for seeing through Big Telecom’s BS.
Ontario's Big City Mayors are calling for a proof of vaccination system, joining business groups, health care organizations, and many of our caucus members advocacy for this. (1/2)

I believe everything in telco will move to the public cloud. @ElonMusk thinks, in 5 years, we'll be on Mars. Which one do you think will be first? Let's explore that question.

True story. I was planning on selling landlines to Canadians through @Mintmobile until this decision. Literally. This photo was taken on Saturday.

@VancityReynolds Hi Ryan! I'm a national reporter with CBC News. The CRTC just released its wireless decision on MVNO access - can you comment? canada.ca/en/radio-televisio…

Disappointing @CRTCeng decision today. Most Canadians will not benefit from the new mandate, and Roger's acquisition of Shaw will only make things worse. The door has opened a crack but it needs to be wider for sustained competition across the country. canada.ca/en/radio-televisio…

#CRTC makes PR mistake: 122.Regardless, with retail prices clearly trending downwards
The retail prices are still going UP. Bell’s Canada lowest advertised package is now at $80. The price per gig does not reflect the bill amount at end of month.

The #CRTC seems to not understand what the #MVNO is, let alone what Full MVNO is. Publishing the MVNO rates also does nothing as the rates for spectrum holders (regionals) are public. Do they think MVNO rates should be even higher than that? crtc.gc.ca/eng/archive/2021/… #INDU

What? For years this was my example of big breaking news in Canadian telecom. I used to tell reporters @thewirereport "we don't work on weekends or over the holiday break, unless Rogers buys Shaw or something."
Rogers seeks to buy Shaw for $20.4-billion in deal that would transform Canadian telecom market /via @globeandmail theglobeandmail.com/business…

Today's @globeandmail editorial agrees about the need for MVNOs in Canada. theglobeandmail.com/opinion/… Our main focus, as a Full MVNO, is to improve connectivity for the underserved. Seniors, youth, new Canadians, visitors. Investments and service innovation can co-exist. #CRTC

Telecoms should learn from banks, according to @ShawnKanungo. Independent ISPs and MVNOs using the new tech and approaches will re-imagine the connectivity and create differentiated / elevated experiences. #fintech #telcotech #ISPSummit2020 #smarttinytelecom @ISPSummit

Great discussion on bridging the digital divide. Not just geographical. Acknowledgement that big tech and telecom infrastructure companies will have to re-adjust their True North in the new digital economy. #5G #rural #underserved #connectivity #Canada #StakeholderCapitalism
