Why won't @erinotoole just promise the straightforward solution: Let existing Canadian companies that desperately want into the cell phone market provide access via MVNOs?

Traffic sucks, but I think Active TO is great. Have you seen how many people enjoy it every weekend?

The mayors of Ontario’s big cities are unanimously calling on @JustinTrudeau and @FP_Champagne to reverse the #CRTC’S disastrous recent decision on wholesale rates, which is causing Canadians’ internet bills to climb. Kudos to the mayors for seeing through Big Telecom’s BS.

I believe everything in telco will move to the public cloud. @ElonMusk thinks, in 5 years, we'll be on Mars. Which one do you think will be first? Let's explore that question.

That's an interesting use-case that wouldn't show in web analytics.
Was it your daily driver for email because of the physical keyboard?
When did your BB give up the ghost?
You're still not on topic, Jim.
The CRTC mandated MVNOs. This thread was about the 2019 Policy Direction and how it was incorporated into 2021-130.
Also, I was paraphrasing your two additions to this thread, not the CRTC.
Given how triggered you were by the term "old guard", it seems like you're treating this as a generational issue instead of a conversation about the CRTC interpretation of the 2019 Policy Direction.
If all you have to say is "WE WON", then we've heard you loud and clear.
Nobody asked for a free ride, and wholesale is good business in Telecom.
Don't forget, Jim, the Competition Bureau and the CRTC both concluded that there was market power and coordination happening here in Canada.
You also forgot to say "subsidized by the Canadian government".

Oh Mark, I know I'll never persuade you or any of the old guard. These tweets aren't for you.
Besides, you keep missing the point here. The objective missed key elements of the policy direction, and conformity misses the same things.
I don't think it's a coincidence.

Yes, and in the following paragraphs they go on to explain how they advanced each policy objective.
Except the policy objective about investment in research and development and other intangible assets.

Second screenshot. It doesn't include the CRTC's conformity to part vii of the 2019 policy direction.
