You have to be joking. There is absolutely no way Abdul El-Sayed would have been allowed to stand as a Labour MP - and most likely would have been kicked out of the Party years ago.
The Labour Party blocked Faiza Shaheen standing as a candidate for sharing a skit by Jon Stewart and talking about her own experience of Islamophobia.
When you vilify, smear and demonise good people who refuse to let your hate define them, other good people don't stand by.
They stand up and vote for hope over fear.
