Een opa bood zijn kleinzoon onderdak, liet hem €350 per maand bijdragen aan de kosten en werd vervolgens door de SVB als samenwonend aangemerkt. Gevolg: een lagere AOW en een terugvordering.
Jongeren kunnen geen betaalbare woning vinden, ouderen moeten op hun centen letten en de bureaucratie maakt familiehulp financieel riskant. Voor je het weet, word je gestraft omdat je voor je eigen familie zorgt.

An apology doesn’t erase facts.
Mao was a dictator. That’s the historical consensus outside China Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution killed tens of millions. It’s in every serious history book.
Demanding that anyone who profits from the Chinese market stay silent, or face commercial boycotts, is political blackmail, not “respect for national feelings.”
If calling Mao a dictator is unforgivable, then Chinese brands selling in free societies (Shein, Temu, BYD…) should accept reciprocal boycotts. Fair’s fair.

China's massive overreaction to a soccer star's comments about Mao, media blackouts, forced apologies, etc. Actually shows that Mao was a dictator.
In fact, it shows that the country is still under a dictatorship and that it now has the power to enforce censorship overseas.
International soccer star @KMbappe should not apologize for calling Mao Zedong a dictator. Mao was a dictator, and by orders of magnitude, he did more harm to the Chinese people than a comment from a soccer player ever could. Mao was the leader of the CCP for decades and his dictatorship and disastrous policies killed tens of millions of Chinese people in the Cultural Revolution, the Great Famine, and other atrocities. Involved in the Party from its first national meeting in 1921, Mao is the principal historical figure for a Party that continues his practices of oppression and ideological purges. For decades, the CCP has denied the Chinese people basic human rights including freedom of expression and freedom of religion. These are rights enjoyed by Mbappe and millions of people around the world and Mbappe should exercise this opportunity to tell the horrific truth about Mao’s dictatorship.
The real disgrace in this news story is the companies rushing to apologize so they can continue to do business in China.
