Gavin Ortlund filmed a video called “The Dangers of Christian Nationalism.” One of his chief concerns is the loss of religious toleration, a first amendment right that Ortlund considers to be sacrosanct. This is fascinating for a number of reasons.
First of all, it reveals that Gavin has a religious devotion to the Constitution, over and above what he finds in Scripture. To be specific, it is the Constitution as viewed through the lens of 20th Century Liberalism. The founders never intended the 1A to protect demonic statues and Islamic ghettos.
Secondly, Gavin does a Jesus juke, explaining that we actually win by losing. After accusing Christian nationalists of commingling the spiritual and the political realms, he actually does that himself by encouraging Christians to accept worldly losses (and even death) in order to be more than conquerors spiritually.
Thirdly, Gavin’s a priori commitments to liberalism actually prevent him from what he says at the end, “So let us by all means do everything we can to now bring his lordship into every aspect of life, in all the ways that we can, including the political realm.” Ortlund has already conceded that public idolatry must be tolerated! So it’s not “by all means” in any sense at all. It would be more accurate to say “by all means that aren’t mean.”
This is very much the same loser theology promoted by Phil Johnson and others, wherein we should vote for godly candidates and laws, but just don’t take it too far since we win by losing.
Of course, this is all designed to ultimately discourage Christians from political engagement, or worse to permit them to vote for the left. As Gavin’s father Ray Ortlund posted in 2024, “Never Trump. This time Harris. Always Jesus.” 🤮

Per the DHS, this is a lie.
Yet another proof positive women should hold 0 civil authority.
Please pray for Samuel Sey (@SlowToWrite) and his wife, Annie, and their kids. I feel especially for Annie and the kids. They deserve so much better. They shouldn’t have to wonder when their daddy and husband will be able to come home.
I know I differ with many conservatives on immigration. I am all for cracking down on criminals; particularly violent and sexual predators. Absolutely, kick them out.
But there are a lot of genuinely sweet people who just want a better life for themselves and their kids.
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Yes, they should immigrate legally. But even legal immigration in our country is a convoluted, expensive, and lengthy process. Mistakes happen. Corners get cut in desperation.
We need to simplify it.
We need to open the door for hard working, honest, family-folks like Samuel, while keeping out malevolent threats.
This shouldn’t be complicated.
People are making it complicated.

There is something extremely deep and dark going on with the US relationship with India. Deeper than most of us understand. There are power dynamics beyond our control that are facilitating a complete Indianification of the West—and the GOP is absolutely saturated with it.
It is obvious that behind all the deportation and immigration headlines, the Indian problem is getting secretly worse. Millions of them are everywhere and the last two years have gotten especially bad. We all see it. The Democrats were flying in Haitians and Latins at night. The GOP is somehow doing the same with Indians, I suspect it’s through Canada.
The entire next century will be spent dealing with it.
Men like @JoelWBerry, @benshapiro, and many such other like the pathetic welp of an American below are the exact reason why we are in situation we are in now.
They grandstand as leftists and third worlders rape destroy us.
They are worse than commies.
Joel is partially correct, fighting against the retard right and the pagan influences trying to usurp the Christian majority is important.
It is just as important to completely destroy the neocon and libertarian front within the right. Of which, Joel is apart of.
A note on strategy as we fight the post-liberals, antisemites, neo-Nazis, Duganite occultists, and ethno-pagan white nationalists trying to infect the Right:
Our focus should be to Isolate and attack the worst, most obvious examples. Expose them and make them odious to the average observer.
I understand that the liars and infiltrators create an environment of suspicion and paranoia, but not everyone is lying, signaling, or misrepresenting their beliefs.
When innocent or ignorant people who aren’t bad guys, but sometimes hang out with bad guys due prior relationships or naivety, and we lump them in with the bad guys, we risk pushing good people away who might actually agree with us if the issues were laid out.
Politics isn’t just ideological. Relationships, vibes, and loyalty play a big part for better or worse. We need to adjust our strategy to that reality.
Until someone has completely given themselves over to evil, treat them with kindness, as someone who can be won over. Be persuasive.
Isolate the thought leaders for the wicked fools they are—but don’t write everyone off. That’s bad strategy, and we need to win.
The tragedy here is that the victim had to kill the murderer.
She should have been executed publicly for her crimes gassing God and mankind.

This is the definition of chutzpah.
I really try to stay out of these GOP intramural fights, but the biggest reason that the GOP is struggling electorally at the moment is not because they are pandering to "podcastistan" but because we are engaged in an extraordinarily unpopular war that Ben and his friends championed (I'm not making a judgement of the correctness or incorrectness of that war--just of its popularity-- and the massive unpopularity of the downstream effects of that war, especially higher gas prices-- particularly with swing voters.)
THAT is what the numbers say, in about 100 different ways.
Rather than be really f***ing quiet, as anyone with any sense would do in this situation, Ben thinks it's smart to double down and deflect blame to the most important person in Trump's circle that opposed this war, precisely because Ben doesn't trust Vance's views on another country in the Middle East that occupies an unhealthy amount of Ben's attention.
Ben is too smart to go full Mark Levin, but if he doesn't understand that this sort of rhetoric and blame deflection is totally counterproductive in maintaining our coalition, he is going to eventually find that out the hard way.

Using the word hatred as a label for legitimate political and cultural grievance is a leftist tactic and aimed at shutting out dissent. It no longer works, however.
Tragic.
She voted for it.
She welcomed them.
Faced with the encore, she begs them to stop. In her heart she knows they will not.
Everything she believed. That they were French like her, fighting for the same cause. That the ones who warned her were full of hate. That she would be safe.
It all falls apart in this moment. She is terrified of what comes next. In her heart she knows.
Only remigration can save her.

Yesterday on the Divisive Line, James White (in a custom Coogi vest) was in rare form. I’ll have multiple clips to share from this episode. This first one concerns @Eric_Conn and @JoelWebbon.
Right off the bat, James takes issue with Eric Conn calling for Samuel Sey to repent of his lies. White calls this an attack against Sey, as if the lies that Samuel says are not to be considered attacks. There is a tacit denial here that Sey has lied at all.
In fact, Samuel Sey has lied about very many people, and not just Christian nationalists. He will make false accusations against almost anyone in order to score social media victories. Off the top of my head, he said that The Transformed Wife was promoting Red Pill ideology, and he also claimed that Eli McGowan said that Sey defended white nationalism.
“A few moments later,” James White implies that the only things being said about Conn and Webbon is that they’ve changed. But that’s not even close to what Samuel Sey has said, nor James White for that matter. This has all been documented.
Hilariously, James White counters this with the tu quoque fallacy. In essence, Eric Conn can’t accuse Samuel Sey of lying since Conn “lied” about the contents of a book being sold at his conference! Of course, Eric didn’t lie about the book. He described its contents in general and gave his opinion of it. Folks are free to disagree with that, but it’s not even in the same stratosphere as the slander that Sey/White traffic in.
And in conclusion, we know exactly why Team Good™️ calls us all Nazis, racists, misogynists, etc. It’s because they want horrible things to happen to us, obviously, in my opinion. 😉
A fascinating comment thread.
Leftists don’t view themselves as loyal citizens of their nation. They are a global community of evil degenerates.
